Guardian Forum Post 9/27/13
I am running an Altruistic Healing build on my Guardian and am finding that some of my utility skills do not trigger that trait. Save Yourselves, Retreat, Stand Your Ground do nothing to trigger AH, whereas Empower on the staff works as expected. These are the only skills I’ve tested. The issue is the same in groups as well as solo.

I have attached screenshots. AH1 shows my guardian at low health. AH2 shows his health bar after casting Retreat! on self. AH3 shows health bar after casting Save Yourselves! on self, and AH4 shows health after casting Empower. These shots were taken with F2 regeneration deactivated. My guardian is level 80 and his name is Vaddon. He is my only guardian. I don’t play him regularly and first noticed the issue during Clockwork Chaos events.

I submitted a support ticket on this, but was eventually told by Support to report it in-game as a bug, which I have done. I also made a similar post in the Game Bugs forum. I’m hoping that perhaps someone in the Guardian forum could shed some light on what might be going on and how to fix it.

I just used all the conditions you gave me:

• Altruistic healing trait
• Disabled virtue of resolve
• Stand your ground
• Retreat
• Save Yourselves
• Empower

All of them healed me for 75 per boon.

Sometimes a bug like yours occurs because of some combination of variables. Can you provide details of your traits, equipment, runes, and sigils (and other things you think might affect it)? Maybe something is causing it to bug out.

I’m seeing a 2 second lapse in time from the time you screenshot for each time you’re pushing the skill buttons. Are you sure you’re not just missing the the green numbers? They pop up pretty quickly.

Also, AH isn’t nearly as affective without allies around.

Lightrayne and Lonewolf, thank you for your helpful replies. I retested AH again in solo play and during a Teq zerg and my results were consistent with both of your observations. I was getting about 77 healing per boon and, yes, I was not noticing the little green numbers. I guess that after not having played my guardian for so long, I must have “mis-remembered” how much healing I was getting from AH. At least now, thanks to your replies, I am able to play my guardian again with the confidence that he is not “broken.”
