According to the wiki (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Altruistic_Healing) Altruistic Healing heals you when you apply a boon to allies. Does this mean boons you apply to yourself too? Like if I use “Save Yourself!” Will that be a huge chunk of healing? It says stuff from symbols affecting you works, so I figured I’d ask.

Yep. Heals yourself for each boon.

Nice. I’d say it’s OP but I assume it heals like…2 HP at level 80. XD

Getting 75++ per tick when using #4 staff skill. (650 healing power). It’s powerful with shout build (plus 20% redux on cooldown.)

It scales very poorly with healing stats, i think i have like 72 each tick and i have like 200.

What it does very well though is that it works wonders with vigorous precision and with empowering might.

Ofc with shouts as well and also with inspired virtues.

In one on one heals from meditations are stronger but as soon as you get multiple enemies and/or teammates in the area of your boons then it starts the happen things.

This means that it has great synergies, which relies on the opponents stupidity and your teammates smartness, with the hammer which gives you both protection and retal and crits from symbols and ofc mighty blow aoe.

So trait larger symbols, empowering might and 2h mastery and and get at least 40% critrating and fight away with the hammer.

And no its not op, there are counters to it but those i wont ever write in a forum.

Do you get an extra heal tick if an ally already has that specific boon on him?
For instance lets say an ally has regeneration(A boon that stack on duration), if i click an ability that adds regeneration and therefore simply increase that ally’s duration will i get healed?

Also, do you get healed depending on how many allies you buff at one time?
For instance will a skill that adds aegis to 5 allies around me, heal me for 5 ticks or just 1tick?

Surrender is not an option!

according to Brutaly’s explanations, it will heal for 5 ticks. What i’m wondering is if the healing is applied like Virtue of resolve (no visual indicator), or if it’s an applied buff.

Use the staff in wvw when you lost 3k health and pull of skill 4, empower, and you will understand what this trait really does.

This trait is what makes Guardians good in WvWvW.

The people who use it, combined with maximised ally boon applying builds, will run around all day as the front man for a large group and be practically unkillable, while getting stuck in to melee and making their bro’s all very, very powerfull.

The people who don’t use it come on here and whine about Guardians being bad at WvWvW because they don’t have ranged weapons (ie – the bad guardians)

Its good. Use it.
