Anyone else notice that Retreat was changed?
Retreat never had retaliation. It’s always been Aegis.
Only thing I can think of is if you use Wrathful Spirit trait.

Retreat granted swiftness and Aegis for as long I could remember. It would make sense that it gave Aegis, not retaliation but I think you may have been thinking of another utility.

I play Guardian class since open beta 1 Retreat was always swiftness and aegis
I don’t know for how long are you playing guardian but it’s kinda funny that you never noticed (or even read) that “Retreat!” gives aegis and not retaliation.
However, retaliation is given by “Stand Your Ground”, maybe you always use both shouts together XD.

Other than that, 15 points in Virtues gives Virtue of Retribution which will grant Retal whenever you use a Virtue ( so Virtue of Courage will give Protection, Aegis and Retal to 5 allies in range )

Are you sure that Virtue of Retribution gives retal to allies? I tested some times and it didn’t.

You are quite right, retal is just for yourself. I was thinking of the Protection boon from Virtues 5 which is applied to your team ( along with Aegis ofc )

Yup – I just realised I had assumed it was an ally buff in my healing spready too – fixed the VoR calculations ( linked in sig )
Like everyone above is saying, it never gave retal. I have played since beta. Guardians are not lacking for Retal anyway. You can get basically perma retal without even gearing for boon duration.
