Hello,

so I was wondering if there are any viable roles/builds for a guardian in spvp other than medi and bunker. I mostly play solo so bunker is not always reasonable. And medi is just not my cup of tea. However I’d still like to use my guardian in spvp. Question is, will I burden myself with an alternative build or are there other builds just as potent as medi and bunker?

I use a similar Medi build for my guardian and have had a great deal of success with it. Some may question the traveler’s runes but for roaming, it’s what I tend to use as well.

If you would consider something different than the Medi that is so popular right now, I highly recommend you take a look at the video below. This build plays like a Medi but has a crap-ton of regen and sustain while dealing out crazy damage. Even with a full exotic set, you can do some nasty damage while roaming. I’ve been testing this the last few days and while it does lack in mobility (I use the staff to move around), it’s really fun to troll folks with.

This is a WvW frontliner build designed for zerging and shall never be used for PvP.

There are definitely more builds than those two, but they aren’t considered “meta”.

Its quite fun.

You can also swap the hammer for the great sword if you want.
And you can swap the torch for the focus.
