Hey I’m new and starting out with guardian, my understanding based on what I’ve read is that there was a pretty big balance patch that came out not too long ago and I was wondering if some of the older GS builds were still viable for pvp

Any linked viable builds would be appreciated, ty

scepter/torch GS in raids is meta.

In pvp, not so much

It works for me, the dmg part is just insane, IF you can land your symbol + whirl combo.

gs is pretty much a power weapon to begin with.. so yea..?

they’re fine.

if you aren’t doing raids or super-high level fractals, you can probably get away with whatever.

in pvp you just swap greatsword for mainhand sword.

You can run scepter/shield and greatsword effectively in PvP.

he she just phishing, an new player wont be that specific about a build. Phokus you are close but you miss half off the fun. Tip for you traits you are playing in a team. And y base guardian is valid atm in pvp

I’m definitely a new player lol, only level 39, I’ve been reading a lot about different builds which is why I asked the specific question

Not a huge fan of dot based classes/builds even though that’s kinda the meta it seems I just prefer big numbers and great swords are cool…

And why shouldn’t they. Guardian has half the HP, longer cd on heals, less CC (unless people stand in your traps).

The squishier class should always do more damage.
