Guild Wars 2

Hi,
I’m leveling my guardian right now and I finally decided which spec to play.
I heard however that Hammer guardian is played Berserk, but play a glass cannon isn’t really my thing. (I chose Guardian mostly cause I like resilient classes)
Is it viable to build it Celestial or something more defensive without ending up useless?

Plus how’s the Celestial/other gear in pvp?

Marauder trades about 10% damage for 25% health. You’ll only need Berserker in organized pve. While leveling, just grab whatever gives the highest power.

In PvP, Marauder is the preferred power amulet. Celestial doesn’t exist, and everything else sacrifices too much damage. You might be able to get away with Paladins sometimes.

I made this permablock build with a lot of toughness. It has about 45% crit chance with these traits plus 20% of fury. The key to this build is toughness with Furious sharpening stones and retributive Armor. Its not using Hammer thou.

I hardly died with this one while pulling out a lot of damage.
Notice i have infuse it all with +4 power infusions(laurel ventor 5 laurels each)
