Battle Presence
Already was weak, now is totally useless.

Thanks for input looks like I’ll be going with courage for stability and aoe stun break. Unless they buffed the healing or running 2 guards.
It got nerfed because of our new Signet Elite… they should have removed BP entirely, buffed the elite slightly, and added another trait for build diversity. Preferably something along the lines of team support/bunkish but I guess they didn’t think about it.
Rank: Top 250 since Season 2

So I take it none of you have ever run battle presence in full clerics gear?

Even in cleric’s, we use the active so much BP heals won’t have a huge impact anymore.
BP is no longer in contest with pure of voice. Sure we no longer get the healing symbols* but who the kitten ever bothered to stay in those things anyways? We get enough condi removal that we don’t need the active

BP was only good because it functioned if VoR was on cooldown. I wouldn’t even take BP as an adept trait now, there’s basically no reason you’d pick it over Indomitable Courage.
Because you can get stability from shouts and still have your 300hp/s for your party?
Edit: Scratch that I’m pretty sure you can get it well past 400 if you gear it right
I’d rather have another source of stability (assuming I’m using shouts) and a stunbreak instead of a healing aura that won’t be active 80% of the time.
It can depend on the particular situation. I will probably still run BP on my healing support build because that’s what it’s supposed to do, but it’s harder to justify it over IC because the stun break, stab, and extra aegis can be quite valuable.
Although do consider that if you take honor, then you are also getting 15% extra endurance regeneration, which is not something people were typically speccing into pre-specializations. So popping your VoR will also reduce endurance regeneration for your peeps, which could potentially leave them without a dodge when they need it.
15% is not super significant though, and most people will incorporate endurance regeneration into their own builds already. So maybe it’s not really that big a deal.

Highest I’ve seen is 250?

Formula for VoR passive heal traited with AR is 1.25 * (4 + level + (0.06 * Healing Power)), so 250 health per second would require ~1933 healing power, which is possible.
A 400 tick would require around 3000 healing power, which I don’t believe is currently possible (highest I’ve seen is around the 2300 mark).
With 1400 healing power and Absolute Resolution, it heals for 210 health per second. You need at least +20% outgoing healing to allies to make it reach 250. Not sure how one could possibly get it to 400.
Is it just me or should virtue passives never turn off. Why do they need to function like signets? They aren’t even that strong in the first place.

this is actually a valid point. I only see a problem for VoJ. With the increase in burn duration and the combination of DH and the Signet of Wrath on activation it might get a little over the top. VoR and VoC passives are not that strong but little pieces that help in the sum of all things.

this.
Virtues GMs are either Permeating Wrath which will have the whole build center around it or the additional (or only) stun break and stability which is awsome and superior to both other choices in any build in any game mode.
Battle presence needs more the a 30% regeneration buff an 15% vigor (for which you need another traitline) simply because its too weak and does not synergize with absolute resolution – the best trait we got in that line anyways.
if Battle presence would work like written in stone for virutes it would at least be a considerable choice for pve and solo play without feeling like a wasted slot. Most would still rather take indomitable courage in pvp and WvWvW
Battle *Pressence
Maintain the passiv effect of virutes when you activate them. Allies recieve VoR effect. VoR grants 15% endurance regen.
This would also mean they could reinstate Elusive Power in Honor.
I think everyone would sign off on this change.

^this is so true (half off topic)
And not only @ the minor symbol healing. Overlapping symbols might heal like around 2×140 (with 2 symbols) and when we noticed the friend/ally has is condi cleanses burned we said “stay on symbol for a small regen we are not against big aoe classes, and wait im going to use LoD in 6sec”, the first thing ally does is get out of the regen place and run in randomness dying slowly…
But the same happens has a guardian with several domes, even when my SW SoA goes to help the ally and absorbing all the ranger and nades hate, players tend to get out of it and die(has if my shield was a enemy attack some even get arround it has if was an enemy Sanctuary….), also avoiding the aegis i would had giving them with SoA on command….
it would be nice even if Anet increased a bit those heals on guardian, just a few buff to make some some players with other classes taking in account our effort to protect them or at least consider if they want t o die or have a option to survive longer on the crisis situations.
