Guild Wars 2

I’m a charr guardian using a hammer and a staff (leave skills out of combo lists), what are the best combos for me to use?
Also, what are good skills for me to use? I currently use Signet Of Mercy, Retreat, Save Yourselves and Artillery barrage (I am saving up for Charzooka Elite skill).

I highly recommend you experiment with all the utilities you have available to get a feel for what they do and how they perform.

You should really think about switching them around to best suit the situation AND take best advantage of your traits.

Some utilities are useful most of the time, and most utilities are useful some of the time – so you’ve just got to experience them a bit to learn when to use what.

I will say that there are a few that are just too bugged currently to be useful – like merciful intervention and most of the spirit weapons ( unless you are levelling )

What mode are you playing: PvE oder WvW? (Can’t be PvP because of racial skills).

I would always recommend Judge’s Intervention (JI) when using a hammer.

JI + Ring of Warding → Trap your opponent instantly.
JI + Banish → Insta-knockback.

Both only really work against other players as mobs walk towards you either way and can’t be knocked off cliffs.
