I was wondering which are the best weapons for fractals and pve in general.
I’m looking for a more tanky and suportish role. For pve i enjoy using mace with either focus or shield (can’t decide which one is better) but i cant really find a good swap weapon set.

I have all wepons, they really depend on the fight.

Mainly GS/Staff for my build. But on some bosses I change them along with some traits.

CoE Alpha Mace+Shield/Staff
Fire Elemental Shaman Scepter+Focus/GS
Dredge Ice Elemental Scepter+Torch/Focus
Lupicus Scepter+Focus/GS
Dredge Armor Suit Scepter+Torch/Shield
etc.

So it really depends on the fight I have all weapons in my bage just in case I never know what could be usefull.

yeah ^^ this guy said it right i always carry very weapon i can use, Default i run with mace/focus and scepter torch. I believe this gives the highest dps out put along with the best survive-ability.

Tipically, for general PvE and trash mobs I use GS/Staff, when fighting single bosses Hammer/Staff and when long range fight is required (I never play long range if not forced) I use scepter+focus .
I rarely change those weapon sets.

I think Staff is the best option for support. I use Mace+Shield and Staff, but have a Scepter for some situations and a GS when more damage is needed

Hammer is also a good choice, really strong, but really slow

Staff is also nice for combination with GS as for me.

Staff 4 (+Virtue of Justice traitet with 3 might) – 15 might
Staff 2 (when projectile pass it does like 3.3k crit after it does that you destroy it for another 1.4k crit)
Staff 3 symbol
swap to GS
GS 3 for gap closer blind and 3 voulner stack for 10 seconds (traited)
GS 4 for symbol (so enemy is in 2 symbols now)
GS 5
GS 2

End of combo this does really nice damage to the enemy. On multiple I spam Virtue of Justice for every enemy dead blinding (+ voulner traited) nearby enemys and gran might (traited) and burning to allys to it’s a good weapon for initiating damage.

Also on many normal mobs fast diying you spam blind + voulner + burning + might while attacking 5 targets (it’s a great weapon for TA)

Yeah I also have every weapon, just in case I need to change to something more useful for that situation.

I have changed my support build because previously I went with staff + mace/shield, focusing on boon duration and all soldier’s gear, obviously this meant 0 damage but I could pop perma might and was hard to kill.

Now that I’m focusing on getting some more damage (knight gear, sentinel weapons, berserker + valkyrie trinkets) I normally run:

- Mace/Torch for heals, block, condition removal and AoE damage.
- Scepter/Focus for damage, regeneration, blind, more condition removal and 3 blocks.

I’m still testing it, but so far it’s been great. Can still pop a lot of might due to criticals, lots of condition removal and can finally see some nice numbers in damage

This is the correct attitude towards weapon set-up with every class. I use every weapon combination with my guardian as well. However, my most used weapon set up is:
– scepter + X & GS/Staff (where X is shield, focus or torch)
– GS & Staff
Hammer and mace do not fit well with my mobile play style, so they are my least used weapons; however, I still do use them.
