I have been 80 for a while, but because of my playtimes I am usually cash poor and laurel light. At any given time I have maybe 2 gold and im working my way to 20 laurels.

I am wearing full exotics, some zerker a few honor Melandru armor pieces and I would like to know the best way to invest my first 30-40 laurels? I am not drowning in ecto’s. I have maybe 8, sold a few before I knew I would need them soon. Would you just go for the 30 laurel pieces or wait and do the ones that require ectos? At my current rate of play each piece could take several months to aquire.

Any thoughts? I am not hardcore, I don’t dungeon (not that I wouldn’t, but it’s a time thing) I only dabble in PvP/WvW. I guess I pretty much shamble about randomly, so not sure how much this matters. But it would be nice to not feel sorely lacking if the time came I did want to try some dungeoning.

The ascended amulet, that’s for sure. They are the cheapest (30 Laurel), and provide the most stat boost. You will want either the zerker or celestial (all stat) as they give you the best crit dam% per stat trade off.

If you play some WvW you will most likely have some batches aswell. If you do not use them for anything else I would recommend buying your Ascended trinkets in WvW at the Laurel Vendors. You can save 10 Laurel per Item but have to use 250 Badges instead. Depending on how frequent you play I would rather recommend this than earning another 10 Laurels per Ascended item.

If you plan on playing some Fractals I would also recommend to not buy any Rings. The Ascended rings appear to have quite a frequent drop rate in Reward Chests. So focus on the Amulet and maybe on Acessory.
