Well they said that stats on gear will be boosted by around 30% on reddit.
However there has been no word as of yet weather or not they will be adding gear that adds a decent about of boon duration or condition duration.
They have also not said if they will be adding new amulets/rings etc… to PvP with different stats on them.
So some builds may just be SOL.
As far as I can tell, there is no bonus to boon duration. The bonus in virtues is to virtue recharge. If your build depends on boon duration, come Tuesday you will see a massive nerf.
They replaced 30% boon duration and 20% cd reduction on all 2 handed weapons with:
(drums roll)
20% cd reduction on staff and 20% boon duration while wielding a staff. People are lashing out because the shield still isn’t good enough while Anet just stuck this one under the rug.

Really hope so.
Also really hope we see some gear that gives + condition duration.
The same goes for PvP.
Also really hope we see some more types of amulets there like power/vitality/ferocity & zealot.
In PvE and WvWThe loss of boon duration from trait lines can be compensated through nourishment and Utility consumables: 20% and 10% respectively. Though, there’s nothing yet in PvP :\
i was able to get 50% duration just with food/utility and going 4 points in Virtues which was pretty nice for my boon guard. Gonna have to drop that build style if they dont provide an alternative next week

You might still be able to get 50% boon duration, but that’s only with a build that uses Honorable Staff (no confirmed number yet on boon duration from that trait).
i hate staff outside of WvW (when zerging) and maybe if im bored on VineWrath.
I was getting 50% with GS Mace/Focus and having fun in ORR/Silverwastes

All my builds from almost all classes will get hurt by this change. They should put a +20% as base line for boons and conditions or put these in a minor slot on trait lines to compensate.
Shout Guardians will become even weaker.

Funny how anet buffed alot a few skills on other classes that were already very strong..
Or they did becouse we will lack alot of stats “class overall” or they are trying to force something here….
I don’t think global boon duration or condi duration adjustments will be back in large numbers. I wouldn’t be surprised if they adjust the food in the future as well (40% condi duration adjustment is pretty OP). It was too hard to balance when you could increase boon and condi durations by 30% or more.
ANet is instead doing targeted increases. For example, one necro trait line increases bleeding durations. Many runes increase the duration of a specific condition or boon.
