Good Morning, ladies and gents of the Guardian world, we at sittingonacouch.com or SOAC Gaming are proud to announce that our first ever release of the Guardian Focused Podcast, Boon Virtued, hosted by Danto of Team Curse, and Professor Beard. We are excited about the opportunity to not only bring one of the top Guardian’s in the game, but also some of the best Guardian related news you will see today. We will feature guests, strategies, and answers to questions you might have. In our first episode, Danto and Professor Beard take the time to explain to Bas that he made a mistake not rolling a guardian. They talk about some of the minor negatives and what in the world is up with the Zeal tree!

Epic, but here are a few notes:
1. Mesmers technically can get more reactive aegis than guardians via chaos armor application (but not more blocks)
2. Taric is the guardian equivalent in league, not cho, he is mine (yay for biased notes on grimlock and brits)
3. Bas you forgot spectral wall again for protection (then again its pretty sutational)

I generally forget spectral wall since I rarely use it, though I should make better use of it. I have heard it’s pretty amazing in wvwvw.

Taric is the equivalent though Poppy could also be considered a guardian :P.

Nahh she doesnt have massive aoe power boosts, just perma protection.

Professor Beard here, just wanted to say the reason I chose to say Cho-gath instead of some of the other support tanks in the game is that Cho has the aoe knock up and the aoe silence. I play guardians in a more control fashion, taric is a much more support/babysit role. Cho was a “get in the middle of the fight and cause havoc!” type champion for me.

Then we are playing the same thing (soldier necro with staff well control with DS focus), well more like a cho, vi, shyvana, thresh hybrid, dunk in, aoe chill blind poison, pull that annoying boss back to me and then feast, i mean lich his kitten into oblivion.
Then again i play like a omnicidal maniac in pretty much every game eve if i am allowed to what translates to the games where i get slightly ahead and turn cho as a anti-carry kill everything in sight with 274 ap and over 3k hp, 200+ resistances… or in gw2 the rest of the team dying while im slaughtering random trash mobs (or spending a hour and half killing a rizen fleshreaver in orr on a 4 level weaker mesmer just to forget about a date)…
My point was that taric can have the control if you build him that way (randuns or gauntlet late game and his stun from start – for guardian hammer and consecrations)/ if the team lets him (as in people dont kitten about guardians are monks they cant do anything but heal), but his ulti and aura are always there and always helpful so guardian virtues and shouts, guess each his own.

I’ve only one comment to make and its about the podcast name.

With all the great names we gave in that other thread, this one is a bit… Choppy. It flows about as well as bricks.

We have talked about renaming it. The name suggested originally was too risque :P. We will look over the names again, we just wanted to get going, and were having trouble getting everyone together.

Okay so I finally found the naming one here are the names we can use and not get lowered ratings or possible penalties on itunes :P

Lost Virtues
Save Yourself
Virtued
Ka-Boon
En Guard
Merciful Indirection
Consecrated
Bunker Down

I will let the list here last the week and then we will select out of the top voted.

Personally I like Bunker Down

I like Consecrated or Save Yourself.
