Tried many builds, all good but not great. If u build for burst burn u can have some success with 1v1’s but it falls short in team burst. There is no i in team. kitten u anet! Any build suggestions that don’t just win 1v1’s and also have good survivability, Pls post and i will try.

Play something else.

The more people that just come to terms and realize that Anet likely wont fix anything on guard until enough ppl stop playing it the better.

Maybe then the sword, hammer, staff, scepter, consecrations, signets & 50% of the traits will finally get some love.

I’ve had the opposite expetience actually. I lose most 1v1 fights against Engi, Rev, Mesmer, Druids on burn burst guard but I wont on a power DH build… that said, i’ve been doing better in team fights with a burn build than power dh due to the AoE damages burn guard can potentially dish out.

I’ve downed 1v2 and even 1v3 baddies because Permeating Wrath does work in groups but the build really is a 1 trick poney at times.

I have tried permeating wrath and i find atm the drop of both stab and condi removal is what kills me. I am working on a slower dps burn guard with good survivabillity, so far 1v1 is solid, will be a solo q point holder. To defend dh a bit, i own on the dh meditrapper build. I can win 1v1’s against most classes and only lose tough fights to good players. Its team fighting is also very good (with or without test of faith).

Yes, I was having some success with a non typical Burn Guard. Condition builds on Guard just do not work. We need many more active weapon skill that dish out conditions.
