6k ticks against multiple foes in the mists using Carrion and Balthazar runes and the torch

Even the staff auto attack can maintain 2k ticks within it’s arc.

I would literally hate to face myself in a duel.

Im seeng 2.6-3k ticks easily with zerker armour, scholar runes and sinister trinkets, no condi food or wrenches

What build you running. I’ve seen a few guardians out in WvW so far but they have all been using their dps/medi builds. I’ve only tried my Ranger so far..

Played with hybrid today, felt like damage had gone through the roof. I was thinking the same about not wanting to meet another burn guard

Scepter/torch & sword/focus
The Fury and 25% crit chance from traits, easy 45%
Permeathing wrath is insane
Got virtue of resolve now, had to survive without it earlier

It used to take me about 30-40sec to kill all the enemies in a WvW supply camp and I had to pop all of my abilities to do it.

Now it’s just Judge’s Intervention+Whirling Wrath and everything besides supervisor is dead. Supervisor dies instantly to the 2 Zealot’s Flame.

I think they did put an ICD on Radiant Fire unfortunately ( or it definitely fails to proc when torch#4 is on regular cooldown.

I don’t think I was using anything unconventional in my burning build – but I was using Feel My Wrath to get as many stacks as possible in a short space of time.

I’m going to experiment with burn duration runes/sigils later – I think they’ll have a larger impact than stacking lots of condi damage

It is 10 seconds but it’s not bad at all

It has a 10 sec ICD lol look at the trait.

And it has no affect on the normal torch 4. What I like to do right now is wait for it to proc then use both instantly.

Yup, I meant that using torch 4 first will fire the ICD, so you won’t get the trait procs – as you say – wait until it triggers and then launch both at once ;-)

No it triggers when it’s on CD. The ability just has a 10 sec ICD like the trait says…

I have over 3k aoe burns from staff auto alone. Running ascended carrion, celestial weapons and smoldering/corruption and balthazar runes. Veggie pizza and master tuning crystal.

It seems the more targets the more often VoJ proc and the more aoe you get. I havent noticed this before.

Purging flames is really strong (12k burning unbuffed) and just to bad hallowed ground dont have burning. So close to being able to play a strong consecration build.

I run 6/6/0/0/6 in zergs and i can say i havent done this amount of damage in zerging no matter profession i played.

Topped the damage with 6k per tick and all looked like aoe. Purging flames, judges intervention and passive VoJ with permeating wrath.

Try Guardian Runes for more Burn on Block

Take Carrion w/ Radiance, your base Crit will be 29% on burning targets + fury = 49%.

Easy 6k+.

Radiance, Valor, Virtues.

and then… the 10k backstab theif comes and rekt’s your life.

Pretty sure burning needs to be toned down after this patch, was in the mists trying out some new builds today and was dumbfounded when I seen the damage guardians were now capable of.

I was regularly seeing over 9-13k(!) burning ticks using abilities that all had less then a 30 second CD.

AN did terrible job on balancing – if there even was some – condi dmg and especially burning is absolutely insane.
