I feel like theres something completly wrong with the skill Dragon Maw, is the skill bugged or working as intended when i shadowstep max range (1,200) and roll for initative after (+600?) which are 2 stun breakers and one evasion skill that last for about 3/4seconds, and yet i still get pulled in for 3 pulses into the dragon maw.

I mean is it lieterally unbreakable and basicly youre F#@%ED no matter how many stunbreakers or teleportations u got?

Dragon’s maw creates a barrier around you so you can’t just evade out. I think you can shadow step out though.

Dragons’ Maw isn’t a root or a CC. It puts you in a box. Try stability.

u cant shadowstep out, it keeps pulling u back since u were “in the barrier”
stability gets ripped completly if i enter daggerstorm i just get ripped, it got 6sec duration afterall, u cant exit the box, for a thief youll die if u cant dodge or exit the area, (u cant dodge since the area is to small and end up getting ccd)

Which right there should tell you you’re getting a LOT more poured down on you than just the one trap.

You can see the Dragon’s Maw ‘cause it’s big and flashy, but that’s only a small part of what’s happening.

probably true not sure if its put before or after, but either way ur basicly automaticly kittened stepping into it, it should be a death move, no other class has a 99% certain death move, why should they?
its not only thief but other classes cant dodge or attempt escaping unless they get stability on interval, then again daggerstorm gives 3 on interval so idk.
you see dragon maw but it activates pretty fast.
but yeah as soon as u see it and are inside of it the guardian knows that all he needs to do is spam the rest of the traps and abilities while ur locked down

When you acknowledge that “move” is either pretty much their entire right-hand tray or coordinated fire from multiple players, then yeah, several classes have that. Thief amongst them. You’re being bursted from stealth (the trap being the hidden part).

I’m gonna suggest taking the extra seconds to approach them or the point they’re on from a different line. Traps/stealth are mind games. Don’t rush straight in. If you do go straight at them, stop short. Most scrub DHs get supper itchy when you don’t just bull into their traps, and they start to do itchy dumb things.

Most of the time those are already piled up overlapping the dragon’s maw in the first place. If you have a non-hit stealth, run towards him, pop it before you get there, and then circle. Odds are excellent he’ll tell you exactly where the traps are by running to stand in them to bait you in. He’s thinking “come on, backstab me, sucker!” If that pulls ‘m off of dead center of the point, boom, there’s where you need to fight him, on the section not trapped. Take the initiative away from him. rattle him. Don’t play his game.

Oh, and scorpion wire is hilarious.
