Churning Earth animation on my Guard?

I keep seeing the Ele’s churning earth spikes jump up around me from time to time…any idea why? I have Tome of Courage equipped if that means anything…here’s a pic of the spikes. This happens while solo btw.

Sigil on weapon swap that causes bleeding? Could be that.
