Cleric or soldier?
Hey,
atm I’m experimenting a mix of Cleric / Soldier.
I know lot of ppl don’t like Healing Power because it’s stacking bad with Guardian skills.
On my last “tanky” (well it’s more a hybrid) build I was on full Soldier and had 200 Healing Power. Now I’m up to 515 with full Cleric armors + Soldier trinkets + Knight weaps.
With Superior Sigil of Energy on each weapons + Vigorous Precision (trait) I have really a lot of dodges.
In battle I can do +10 dodges per minute, for the exemple I take 10/min.
Heal by Dodges:
10 * (129 + 200) = 3290 health regen per minute.
10 * (129 + 515) = 6440 health regen per minute.
6440 – 3290 = 3150 more health regen / minute
Heal by Regeneration:
130 + (0.125 * 200) = 155 / sec, so 9300 / min
130 + (0.125 * 515) = 194 / sec, so 11662 / min
11662 – 9300 = 2362 more health regen / min
It’s only paper math, in the fight, with virtue of resolve, the fact you have not 100% regeneration uptime, if you keep dodging, ect… you’ll able to self-health for around 4000-6000 more per minutes.
Atm I feel pretty good to have sacrifised ~2500 max Health for ~4000-6000 regen / min.

That only work on pve, on pvp you will get good player that will shredd your boons and healing, Vit > armor > healing.

That only work on pve, on pvp you will get good player that will shredd your boons and healing, Vit > armor > healing.
This is for WvW. On sPvP I have no idea.
And btw atm Armor+Big Regen >>>> Vitality. But that is not the question.
Not saying HP is good or not. I just show, instead of choice a +250 VIT bonus, you can choice a better regen mostly on dodges (for wvw again, i know Selfless daring is nerf on sPvP). Atm I feel better stacking a bit of VIT + HP than only VIT.
Bunker works better on Spvp than WvW, what weapon you use?
btw i played a build with 1.7healing power and 3.4k armor, and any zerker shreds a bunker or gives it alot of work.
Out of pve healing power is more like a placebo, while with mace, professions with more mobility the guardian wont event touch them if they know how to play, and i dont see that build making the necessary damage with the magical wand.

TBH what I find useful is the soldier runes so that when I run in a large group I don’t even need an acutal healing build… I have it so that when I give allies boons I gain health, this effect also works with “Save yourselves” so when I am introuble I use that knowing it’s like 6 boons of about 80 health then I use the third virtue and just drop a symbol with my greatsword all up healing almost the whole time, BUT I also have empowering might so I use beserker/Valk trinkets giving people might and healing myself =D.
I’ll suck volcanus for stability.
