Something I’ve been thinking about since I looked up condition damage and saw that burning has a pretty good damage ratio for condition damage (25% vs bleed’s 5%) and the guardian has an ability that inflicts burning every 5 attacks and a number of other burn-inflicting skills. I plan on doing my own research tomorrow, but I’m curious if anyone else has any ideas for this sort of Guardian.

Solo wise, it’s actually pretty decent. I ran a condition build/gear set for testing. (You also make use of Virtue of Justice pretty heavily rather than the passive for higher damage,but hey, it resets on death so it’s worth it.)

Group wise it’s terrible. Since burning doesn’t “stack” it gets overwritten by other guardians, engineers, all the time.

I got a burn/blind build. Seems to work pretty well in PvE

I used a Burning Build in the last Beta Weekend for sPvP. Worked pretty well, but it didn’t suit my playstyle, so I can’t remember the build.
Be sure to use a Sword, since it stacks burning from Virtue of Justice pretty fast.

Scepter+Torch are the best for burning build, due to 15 hits with 6 sec CD on 2nd skill and 10 hits from 5th of torch. Build 30 radiance, 30 virtues and you will always overwrite others weak burning And you will be 1200 ranged with it either.

I was curious as to how/if burn stacked. The wiki says that burn stacks duration, which would theoretically mean popping Virtue of Justice in the middle of a large group would immediately stack up a long burn duration as 5+ people each apply a 5 second burn. If they just override they previous burn however, that makes activating the virtue seem somewhat less desirable.
