I really like GS + Mace or Scepter and Focus but hate Torch. That’s why I want to ask you how bad is it? I did check many builds and even power ones ‘require’ torch. In my opinion all torches are just ugly(ikr..) so is it viable to play w/o it and be still effective? Talking about Dungeons/Fractals since everything is viable in Open World. Torch isn’t mandatory, but for any build that tries to leverage burning, its by far the option to proc all those burn stacks.

Given your situation, you’re better off running a Symbol centric build with Writ of Persistence. That way you gain more support and damage through Writ’s healing and uptime, capitalizing on Symbolic avenger’s damage bonus for both Mace and Great Sword. With Zeal, Honor and Valor you can run a Medi build with decent group support, or swap Valor for Virtues to get better passive burning for Runes.

This is assuming you’re running power instead of condi. If you’re running condi, you’d be a complete fool to give up you’re best Justice trigger weapon.

I’m runnin now a gs only sinister guardian for pve and world events (waiting for lb from exp.) It is fine for me. Vs 1 taget aka bosses burn ticks 3-6k and does 1k less on whirl. In 5+ mob blobs the tick goes up to 13k tick. Have ascended trinkets and exotic gear, so with full asc. It may run up more a bit

On a power build you can use Focus instead of Torch. It’s a bit of a dps lost, but not a big deal. But if you want to run condition damage without torch, we can’t really help you there buddy.
