Guild Wars 2

In this week’s informational podcast, Danto takes the week off to prep for tournaments and a vacation so Beard is left to weather the storm alone. Have no fear though, because Christos one of the top Guardian WvWvW players is on the way. Beard and Christos have a great conversation about defending keeps, playing zergs, support and damage builds. Along with all different fun adventures a guardian can have in wvwvw play.

Since no one else has commented on this, I’d just like to say well done on another great cast.

It was nice to have a WvW perspective from the indomitable Christos, and Professor Beard is always entertaining.

I just finished listening to the podcast and I thought it was very good. I am always looking for a way to better support my groups in WvW and while I do a decent job it is great to get pointers from folks that are a better than myself to help guide me.

Not sure if there is anything you can do but seemed overall quality was off. Noise, clicking, or static I guess. I just listed to the plug-in off the URL you posted and didn’t download it. So maybe that could be it.

I play a guardian (duh, that is why I’m in this sub section I guess) and have since release. Although though beta’s I played a elementalist. It is interesting to see how others play the class and why. Noticed Christos mentioned Paladin. Oddly enough that is what I rolled in the other MMO. However, I find the guardian choice for me is because of DaOC and the Thane (Miss those AOE CC breaking Hammers of doom )

Interesting coversation in the background while I work so thanks. Overall topic wasn’t bad. Christos is known in the forums and his build thread. So a good choice.

As i already told chris, pretty much the same stuff in the podcast that he gets on my case for on a daily basis. not running more support style in zergs, using 1h weapons in groups the standard stuff :p

Still a good podcast, though I would have thought they would talk more about his specific build rather than general WvW questions, but then again it makes sense since he is the first true wvw guard to be on this.

I know what you mean; I almost freaked out in fact. I use a pretty new Podcaster (which is sort of expensive) so I had to go run a battery of tests to make sure it was just the Mumble recording go all staticy. Thankfully it was.

I was, of course, hesitant to talk about my personal build. We did do some talking about AH and Healway and a few other builds in more depth than what is heard, but we had like 2 hours of content recorded. They don’t want it to run more than an hour.

Sorry for the delayed response hear. We are trying to setup the Podcast for this week but we are having some guest difficulties that has postponed this week’s episode.

I was out of town recently and riding in a car 10 hours each way made it impossible to secure the show on time. So it came down to it being my fault for not pre-recording it, sorry.

Beard has been crazy busy with everything, and has been essentially doing all the work for the podcast. He deserves mad props for the fantastic product that Consecrated is. We are doing everything we can to lighten his workload so that he can keep on doing this with less pressure.

We would love to get a list of guests everyone would like to hear from!

we do appreciate all the hard work you guys put into this on your own time. thoroughly enjoyed the few Consecrated casts we’ve had. always looking forward to more.

Professor Beard is unfortunately going to step away from podcastign for awhile, and Danto has retired from gaming as well. This leave a hole that we are going to work on filling this week.

I apologize to all the guardians out there who followed the shows. This being said, we are now looking for podcast hosts!

Here are the basic requirements!

1. Have access to skype and/or basic streaming knowledge.

2. The ability to talk to players in a clear and concise manner without getting upset if they disagree with you.

3. A solid mic and headset that will allow you to express yourself clearly.

We are looking for a wvwvw or pve focused guardian. We have a pvp guardian lined up to host it, and are now looking for a co-host.
