Contemplation of Purity/Suicide
I agree with the fact that condis have been more prevalent since HoT came out but I think CoP still is a valuable utility skill!
The game is changing at a fast pace, so they only thing to do is to move with it. CoP should be seen as another option during a condi fight but shouldnt been seen as the ace or trumph card
I’ve been using a build I made https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/guardian/Fearless-DPS-DH-Build/first#post5939350 and it handles condi reapers quite well. It’s main strengths are high dps, healing and condi cleansing.
With practice/familiarizing yourself with the build, reading condi classes & when they will burst as well as taking advantages of opportunities in a fight will be very handy. Give it a go and let me know what you think in that forum post. Goodluck & Have fun

Well they did admit that they felt the guardian was falling behind when it came to removing conditions.
Lets hope that smite condition is not the only thing they buff because unless a ton of other stuff does as well necro’s will just eat guardians alive.
More like let’s hope that the devs realize that skills besides meditations exist.

ur having L2p issues u need to play zerker GS+JI+Trap spam, even reapers melt in a second hehehe
ON a serious note and w/o joking arround:
I guess they still lack of understanding that guard is in more worse state than the problem at removing condis has they said, IMO that shows they are ok with guardian not working when using anything besides Bow+GS+Meditations+Trap spam build, the issue is that with so much CC a player cant even press skills to remove condis…
-Consecrations need to be updated, like HG and Sanctuary.
-Signets are not so good, trait line is weak.
-Signet of Courage, is a burden, 4seconds is impossible to cast since is longer that a combat lasts, to much CC.
-Spirit Weapons… are non existent.
-Mace AA and symbol have weak effects/performance, guardian symbold need to be traited by default on size and healing allies.
-Mace trait is bad, since Healing power is awfull waste due how it works on guardian and to scale healing power needs to burn a block with helps nothign the class, it is not a trade off for the active gameplay mace needs.
-Healing power and vitality is no longer balanced to compete with most classes, being the class with most toughness is useless due stat is almost useless in this game, in this damage output to win gameplay, reason why traps are effective….
-Stability, shelter, domes, RF dont work in WvW, due massive CC and condi spam and the free AoE spammable skills.
-Guard Staff skills…

I bet it’d be better if it actually had an auto-attack.
Contemplation of purity should give resistance for 5 seconds (on top of resistance gained from converting chill).

Well… we have a considerably lower cooldown now.
I was expecting less. Pleasantly surprising.
alright I guess, I already run CoP in my normal pvp build, having access to it every 32 secs ain’t so bad.
20 sec cooldown reduction ain’t bad at all
