DH / PvP Bunker Build / suggestions welcome
a bit based on what i play wvw…. instead realying on the awfull healin power guards could drop that stat and use boon duration ?
since u had shield and sturdy guard always play by side of a team mate, tough to add cripple to shield KB, since shield kittens 5 targets.

Also RF with that runes, cleans 2 condis to team, blocks phsisical atacks and heals the user also recharging virtues.
IMO, guardian is way to much dependable of shelter and RF to last longer in the front of the action where all kind of spikes and ganks happen.

Intersting thoughts on the rune choice butI fear the amulet will only shift suviveability to dps.
RF and Merciful interention are not good choice imo. with that rune set you would want to use that 6 bonus as often as possible which works well with FMW.
I will give it a try
yeah meditation on that could be removed, FMV with staff trait gets a 15sec fury and 7 seconds quickness, plus uf u have a revenant sharing the boon duration u might get interesting values on some guardian skills.
Did some tests yesterday. not conclusive yet but I did not feel that soldier power increase was worth losing 25% crit chance and 35% critdamage. the extra vialtiy and toughness wasnt a factor either but I only lost one game yesterday so I might have had some MMR luck.
breaking down my stats with celestial only 15% of my self healing comes from AH which was kind of disappointing. need to check my logs a little further. I would need 40+ Aegis procs as well to surpass AH which seems a lot it does heal quite well for teammates.
What I am sure of is that the heal trap is the way to go. Shelter is just not cutting it any more for me.
I did not need the rune of leadership in my current division but I think it will be the better choice advancing further. Taking Staff mastery would lift me to 100% boon duration with a Herald in team which would cause some serious uptime on several boons.

Tks for the pvp tests with that build, atm ive dropped AH since imo is only usefull em used with empower, and on WvW frtonlines are aoe casters(pirate ship with random aoe spam at frontline hitting nothing), so i stay back eating my popcorn.
100% with rev? dammn that is excelent news lol, never tough was that much!
so had to change the build while moving higher in the league to good old magi amulet catering twards the bunker meta we are seeing right now. I still feel extremely strong in holding a point. unbreakable 1v1, 2v1 need very coordinated timing. depdning on the amount of CC and condis I expect on the other team I change the trap for fragments of faith. I am pretty much a bouncing hp ball but it works really well IMO.

This build is pretty fun but it definitely depends on the comp. I’m still in the lower leagues and standard Maurader DH is usually still a safe bet.
Sad that wanderer’s amulet does not have the same stats wanderer’s does in PvE.
If it did there would be some serious contenders for guardian bunker builds.
Short of that however I would suggest celestial. The condition damage is kinda meh but the other stats help & its power is still decent.
As for magi, If it gave power instead of precision it would be a great choice both in PvP and other game modes. However since it gives you precision & leaves you bone dry for condition damage & power I could never in my right mind suggest using it since you will be completely useless as far as helping allies get a kill is concerned. (been suggesting since launch that they change it to give power instead of precision for all game modes, I encourage others to do the same)
