I’m trying to bring up the classic topic about these two runes.

Right now I’m using strength runes. I usually fly solo and now I consider to switch into scholar. I’m not confident enough to keep the scholar damage modifier requirement though. How is the damage compared between them? How long should I keep the scholar uptime to perform better than using strength runes?

Scholar is best. Flame legion would be the best alternative to scholar for guardian. Flame legion have the same stats as strength and 2% more damage multiplier on it’s conditional buff. Assuming you have permanent burning then it would be equal to around 60% scholar uptime. Strenth would be less. If your completely solo you won’t always have might on unless you run strength sigils on every swap and there are better choices.

In solo situation, scholar will do around 4-5% more dps than strenght and its equal to 50-60% scholar uptime.

In group situation, scholar will do around 7-8% more dps than strenght and its equalt to 15-20% scholar uptime.
