So here’s a build I have come up with and I was hoping to get people’s opinion of it. The premise behind this build is to be survivable and be able to dish out lots of damage using a greatsword.

Build:

The premise of the build is to hit hard with your greatsword, providing healing to yourself while utilizing the shouts to buff allies while also healing yourself. The mace and shield is kind of an emergency break style thing where you knock enemies back to give yourself a chance to recuperate with buffs (4) and symbols (2).

Any advice will be welcome.
PS. I’m not 80 yet so I haven’t had a chance to try this myself, this is just a theory. If anybody tries it out, let me know how it feels. Thanks!

It looks like you have way too much condition removal. You already have a purge from whirling wrath/symbol of wrath, that plus SoR is more than enough (unless you know you’re going into a fight where there will be a ton of conditions applied to you.) You might want to remove purity in the valor line and pick up something else. Defender’s flame if you’re planning on doing events or dungeons. I believe that burning timers work like this (can someone verify?): If i put 5s of burning on an enemy, and someone else also pust 5s of burning on that same enemy at the same time I do, there are now 10s of burning on the enemy and the person with the highest condition damage determines the power of the burn.

That just adds a little offensive power to the build, but its all situational. Some of the cooldown reductions on shielding abilities and meditations are nice as well. The nice thing is you can pick of different traits whenever you need them (so long as you are out of combat) so dont be afraid to press “H” and shift your build to better suit your situation!
