TRAITS
The traits are like pre-trait-line-implosion Traits – underpowered, bad, and needing to be merged and/or replaced to bring their value up to the new par, but that can be done. Leaving out the two OBVIOUS 20% cooldown traits is not acceptable. The sooner they recognize that, the sooner they can get started. Some of the names are full on nonsensical. Obvious holdovers from when they did something else entirely and they didn’t get re-checked as the mechanics evolved.

TRAPS
People can scream “OMG traps suxors” but they’re not going away. So its more a relevant question is ‘how good to traps have to be to be a fair opportunity cost to reward ratio?’ I doubt even ANet will have clear idea of that before the first 6 months later balance patch, but there you go. Ground targeting instead of “duh it’s right here” is a fine place to start.

LONGBOW
I like the themes and I think the “can’t move during/self root” create interesting decisions and a level of skillful prepositioning that other weapons don’t demand… and should be compensated accordingly with substantial bumps to damage (#2) and control (#5). The missile-erasing shot needs about three iterations of QoL applied to it and they need to be applied before HoT launches, but again it’s doable starting as soon as they recognize the issue.

This profession is going to polish up nicely. The question is whether it gets that polish now or 10 months from now. I know which I’d prefer…

How about change the topic to “Describe the Dragonhunter in a Detailed, But Concise, Description Highlighting its Shortcomings and What Can Be Done to Improve in Lacking Areas”.

Worst Especialization Ever

“Not – Purchasing – HoT”

Until Dragonhunter makes it worth the gameplay. I am not interested in HoT story or whatever else new Shiny Rainbow Pony Legendary, so I will purchase HoT solely if it has an upgrade(for my current profession).

Coincidentally, I only play Guardian, and so far, it seems GW2 wants me to pay $50 to downgrade my Guardian to something worse. Why would do that?

I could wait for the next expansion to come out in 2017(more like 2018!) and see if I get an upgrade to Guardian then, and given the “I give you the core game and all other expansions if you purchase the next expansion” method they are using, I’ll get HoT for free then.

I’ll also get to run through HoT content with the next Elite Spec, which will probably be called DragonRevenanter.

“Unnecessarily”? There’s a video linked above that shows the bow getting literally “obstructed” by nothing in < 600 range. Stop binge drinking the kool aid.
