Did I got bad at this over night?
This was a patch for Conditions no doubt.
I switched to even more Condition removal and -condition.
Is that your group setup, pug’n it, or solo/roam? You could probably bring your Pwr down some and add in more +healing.
Try adding Dwayna Runes 4 piece.
No, I don’t think you got that bad all of a sudden. I think some classes got adjusted more maybe over the last few patches with this one being major for 1 or 2 classes. We didn’t get any negative adjustments. But depending on your stance we got something.
I know I’m probably going to be changing but waiting till Friday I think. I mostly roam solo or in a duo in WvWvW and while typically doing well, this week I’m getting destroyed. I don’t think it has much to do with the patch but rather than the server (Dragonbrand) who roam with 60 or more…so fights haven’t been much in my favor regardless if they start 1 or 2 v 1 they quickly turn into 1 v 10
I’m in all clerics gear, accessories, all exotic (no ascended at all). In fact, I may be to the point whereas I can withstand only yet not kill anyone (case in point a up ticked ranger earlier – I just walked away). So I need to change something just not sure what.
Clerics
1,594 power
1,019 precision
1,604 toughness
1,255 vitality
25 condition damage
45% boon duration
18% critical damage
2,548 attack
9% critical chance
2,876 armor
14,195 health
1,320 healing power
Sitting with a bank of Knights gear, hammer. I also have 102 laurels and a metric ton of honor badges. Was thinking of trying to mix and match a good build using zerker gear for dps but also fit in a bit of heal/health. I like to use shield, great sword, sword, focus, staff, and torch. I’m just not good at this so the cleric/heal build is what I’ve used for a while now but I guess that needs to change…

Hi,
I am only talking about 1/2/3 vs. 1 (me being one of the many).
I think I’m maxed in condition removal as much as a guardian can be. Shouts remove 2 conditions, I have the Signet passive and Purity that remove the 2 conditions per 10seconds. Why should I go Rune of Dwayna, for the extra healing power?
From what I’ve understood in the little time I’ve played this game, the guardians survivability is based on critting -> having vigor boon up -> able to dodge + heal. Hence you need to have healing power and crit.
Against melee classes this is fine, you can do it quite easily and actually withstand alot of damage – even with my healing power being only 700ish or so.
However I have issues with Eles and Necros because they CC me (I am bad or having bad luck but I can’t dodge these, they are just simply too fast for me.) and then get their conditions and other CC on me. They force me to go defensive immediately – blowing the Signet to heal me since dodge only provides shelter from direct damage, conditions still roll in the backround.
It seems they can “add” conditions to me much faster than I can remove them.
Can you please tell me, how much healing power should I work towards as a guardian?
Thanks in advance,

Hey!
I would love to see your traits, could you kindly share them? Your power doesn’t seem so low, neither does your attack! But your vitality is very low, normally this isn’t a problem, but I think conditions will do more %dmg compared to your health pool. That healing power is good, I would like to know how much you heal with dodge rolls!

Necros got a huge boost with this patch in the conditions department. You should fear them….. literally
Just so you know, Attack is a meaningless stat as it isn’t included in any damage calculations. Power is what matters.
Painbow.6059: Ignore what anyone else who doesn’t agree with me has said because its wrong.
No problem, but it isn’t anything fancy. This is, or was, Christos (sorry if I mispelled) healing build. I probably didn’t do it much justice but this is what I recall and have been running for a while now. Usually greatsword, focus, and sword. However, I also mix in greatsword, staff, and shield. I like the shield for some strange reason.

valorous defense, purity
vigorous precision, superior aria, selfless daring, two handed mastery, elusive power, battle presence
inspired virtue, vengeful, virtue of retribution, absolution resolution
power of the virtous, indomitable courage
This is off the top of my head – I couldn’t check and I can’t read my notes I originally wrote this on- sorry. I do know I always use:
Signet of Resolve, Wall of Reflection, Save Yourself, Stand your Ground, and Renewed Focus.
I don’t recall how much I dodge heal for. Sorry. I know I can usually outlast and wear them down. Either one of us gets tired and leaves, or I make a mistake (often) and get killed. Honestly, my biggest issue in this game is keybinding and staying on target. I lose track of so many targets it isn’t funny One minute I have them, then next I don’t and I just to never never land scrambling to find them all over and land a darn hit
So yeah – newb who has played since beta’s and still learning

Hi,
Attack = power + average weapon damage, that is the reason why I mention it!

Hi,
Thanks for this, I’ll definately try this out. I’ve always thought that 30 points in Valor tree is a must. Nice to see something different!
All the best,

I am on dragonbrand and roam with an engineer or solo and felt the same way, that you guys only rolled in mass zergs.
Although yes I have been getting dead real fast lately…..it is sad that my ranger has so much more survivability and out heals the guardian by a ton.
Trying to find a good solid build for the guardian although have not had much luck yet.
Hi Bailey – yeah, I think it swings both ways actually in regards to zergs so maybe I’m just being a baby – lol.
There are builds but not a lot. I don’t know if it is more or less than others because the only other class I’ve played is a Ranger who is stuck at 40 something. I’ve run a poor mans AH build that is at the top of the forum here by brutaly which isn’t bad. But at the time I didn’t have all the gear so maybe I could always pick up a few pieces to finish it and try it again.
While I like the hammer (banish) for fun and giggles, I always found it too slow for me. Not to mention the fact I don’t think I did the annimation dance correctly (if ever). Also, had I known about this I maybe would have if I rolled a Asura rather than a Human Something about the Asura’s (little fella’s) wielding a large hammer and their annimations…

Not being a baby at all.
Yea unfortunately my guardian is a human as well, had gotten her to lvl 10 then shelved her for a long time and when I was asked to play something else I was to lazy to re level those ten levels….now I wish I had. Although the engineer I run with is glad I did not, he likes that I am the bigger target.
I have been trying the ah build at the top of the forum although it has been fairly brutal being solo or in the duo with the engineer. I just mixed it up and was trying to use mediations before the new build booted me although not sure I have the build done right…basically just the ah build with mediation recharge and monks focus.
I normally use a gs and a staff so I can give us some movement while trying to flip camps. Although I really like the hammer, if I can switch to it and have the engineer pull a target to us it is fun to trap them with the ring of warding.
