With over 80%+ boon duration, “save yourself” boons only last for 7 and a half second in spvp ( I remember clearly its 10 seconds). I also remember signet of resolve’s cool down is only like 31 seconds, now its 40. Anyone else notice this or is it just me?

In PvE, Water/Monk Runes give 30% Boon Duration.

In PvP, Water/Monk Runes give 20% Boon Duration.

If you have 1s of a skill and have 49% Boon Duration, it won’t give anything because it rounds to the nearest second on some abilities, however 51% will round to 2. When dealing with seconds you need to be very precise, the number system is very complicated.

The base boon duration from save yourself was originaly 10 seconds, and it reduced to 7 and a half. 10 seconds without any boon duration buffs

Save Yourselves got changed to five seconds instead of ten in PvP. Happened awhile back.

Resolve CDs is only 32 if you trait it, 40 if not. Always been this way.

Yea the Save Yourselves split was like 6 months ago. It’s 10s in PVE and 5s in PVP.

Everyone answered the boon duration part, so I’ll leave that part at that.

As far as Signet of Resolve goes, you must have switched your traits to not use the signet cooldown trait, which would bring your 40s cd down to 32s. The default is 40s even in PvE.

The only way to play the engineer is to exploit it.
Playing the engineer “as intended” is simply not viable.

Most people play Alturistic Healing, not this Boonway build.

The nerf to SY! was only in sPvP, and it was months ago.

I play Guardian because I enjoy it, I’m not some bandwagon jumper that freaks out at every change to the game like the sky is falling. I don’t need someone coming along questioning why I play a class because thieves got a buff.

Save Yourselves needed the nerf in PvP. Players where using it to become Superman. That’s not the point of it. Whole point is to help your team by drawing their conditions, the boons are just there to help counter all the conditions.

Yeh, I don’t care about balancing measures to Spvp. Hopefully this doesn’t get sent over to WvW since the boonway build isn’t really that effective in WvW. I mean you are very solid if you are defending against a few, taking camps, or doing whatever. However, it ultimately performs subpar when your group is facing more than 20-25 people. There is no reason to nerf it in WvW.
