Guild Wars 2

Alot of people probably know about this build, but I’d like to share it. I have yet to lose a 1v1 with it, and won +2v1. Easily the best build I had so far for dmg and survivability.

So why is this build so effective? It revolves around two main things Retaliation and Meditation. Retaliation is your main source of dmg and you are using Meditations to heal and cure conditions.

I can confirm that this build is very good for skirmishing. Be careful for boon removals though.

What runes are you using in gear? and which amulet/jewel?

Right now I’m using Rune of Earth. Don’t remember which amulet/jewel.

1. +25 Toughness
2. +20% Protection duration
3. +50 Toughness
4. 5% chance to gain Protection for 10s when hit. (cooldown: 30s)
5. +90 Toughness
6. You gain Magnetic Aura for 5s when you’re hit below 20% health. (cooldown: 90s)

2 out of your 3 meditations are already instant. Defender’s Flame would be better trait selection for your build because of focus.

In virtues tree 10% dmg with aegis is pointless. Its not consistent since you are always losing the Aegis. Use the gain retal when CC’ed for your build.

Of course just my opinion. However the meditation thing is fact. 2 out of the 4 are already instant. The stun breakers.

Forge rune seems like a better choice imo
