My wife is thinking about making a guardian but she wants to know if the buffs help out pets. Also meser “pets” as well.

Buffs will affect pets, minions, phantasms, ect, yes (except turrets, they’re immune to both buffs and conditions).

However, most buffs are limited to affecting 5 people at once, and they do prioritize players over pets. So if there are 5 players around they’ll be getting your buffs over pets.

There’s a target cap on boons, and AIs are low priorities, so if she happens to run with more than two or three people, the pets won’t get the buffs. It’s not like they need them in the first place, though; pets are only meat shields.
