I was not able to partake in the BWE’s and test out the new elite Dragon Hunter spec. I was wondering if someone who did manage to test it out, could let me know how conditions/burns fall into the Spec, Would Burn damage still be a viable option with the Dragon Hunter and does the Longbow have any condition dmg benefiting skills (From what I’ve read on the Wiki, they seem lacking)? I ask mainly because I have been crafting Rodgort, and worry about if its even worthwhile to continue.

Dragon Hunter does not inflict that many damaging conditions. Longbow 4 shoots a symbol that sets people on fire (2 stacks for 5 seconds), but it isn’t on a cooldown that would help much in a burn build, plus it’s activation time is slow. It is mostly cripple with a little daze if the traps are traited.

Traps inflict some cripple and vulnerability.

You don’t have to take Dragon Hunter haha.
Burning builds are still pretty strong.

Yeah I know, However I would like to try one of the new Elite Specs. But would still like to use the Legendary I acquire.

I’d wait to make any lasting decision until after Heart of Thorns actually comes out.

First off, playing it yourself will always reveal more that the comments of a stranger.

Second what we saw last weekend is not the final form of anything. At this point I expect the balance team has about a week to make all their changes before they go pencils down and hand things off to the coders for final integration. They’ve got a lot to process during that week. Details WILL change and that’s were the devil usually resides .
