Why is that not mentioned instead of focus?

I know it has an additional blind and the block on focus can be used during stuns, but why not try shield?

It has a controlled knockback on shield 5 (and projectile absorb + heal), which you can use to push people over your Test of faith trap (if play with Hunter’s fortification instead of Heavy light or you can do push out with Heavy light (less controlled knockback than shield), pull back in with F1, push back out with shield 5 xD).
Shield 4 is groupwide protection + aegis. Not to shabby either.
Could also synergyize with Hunter’s fortification if you use that one.

So, shield a descent option too or not?

shield is a very decent option for bunker DH in PvP.
you need it to push people of points, the group projectile defense is very underated as well, most people tend to pop it too fast.

It’s decent on meditrapper since as you said you can chain CC people and knock them out of test of faith. It’s not too good though since people tend to dodge as soon as they see test of faith popping up. If you want a more offensive option than focus or you just like shield it’s definetly viable (as far as you can call DH viable, heh).

I’d say that Necromancer Axe is the reigning champ for worst weapon.
