Dungeon/Higher Fotm traits?
no changes to meta 10/30/0/10/20 or 10/30/0/5/25 builds. 10/25/0/10/25 and 10/30/0/0/30 spreads are also just as usable though latter build might be wanting for some vigour in high fractals and harder dungeons.

Let’s imagine for a brief moment that anet changed stuff around and now pvt is as good as zerkers… fun wise, i’d rather play with zerker, knowing that i will most likely die the moment i screw up than equip some pvt and fall asleep while playing. I really don’t get the idea behind “zerker is boring”, but then again thats just my opinion.

Gear should not give you any stats, just runes and skins. Everyone would stop complaining.

I don’t see the point of comparing guardian and warrior or how anything significant changed, you block projectiles, they don’t, pure of voice seemed like a waste of a fotm trait and I would never have used it… I have fun and success in level 40+ fractals with 0/30/30/0/10 tons of dps and I block projectiles like always… full berserker most of the time.

People like actual Variance in builds not cookie cutter. Unfortunately this game doesn’t support this right now.

Variance should be achieved through traits, not gear. Regearing is already pain in the kitten .

I wish this were true. 90% of puggers join with PVT or Cleric or Knight’s gear, running a “support” weapon doing kitten damage. So keep living in a fantasy world where most “noobs” run around in zerker gear. If this were the case, I wouldn’t hate pugging so much.

I had a pug level 28 group yesterday (on my warrior) after talking to them alittle and seeing that our DPS was very good, we face rolled all the bosses/mobs and was done with the fractal in 1hr, It was the best pug group I’ve ever had.
Being everone was some type of “DPS” build 1st (some had a few trait 20-30 here or there in either a little in both toughness and vit, or all in vit or toughness) but at least 40 points into dps and zerk gear.
I used to run 0/30/30/0/10, zerk gear and it just feels so lacking now compare to when I play other classes anymore.
I also do a (for dungeons not fotm) 0/0/30/30/10 build, Zerk everything but runes of soldiers, and this build was with my friends, they all run 100% pure zerk, so i was the person to “pick up” or “keep them alive” if we “messed up” so we wouldnt wipe, But that build doesnt seem to support no where near as it used to and there for pointless.
Ive been playnig guardian for a while now and I loved it, but with this new patch, my warrior is looking more and more useful… With just as easy Condition cleans with shours, healing … from shouts, good regen skills, might stacking and loads of fury, compare to guardian IDK what to pick. I know guardian can add some more condition removal and some blinds. But with the New patch, what should the new guardian fotm and dungeon build be?
Ive tried hammer, staff, sword with focus, shield, torch set ups, Ive done blind spam and even additional crit/might stacking, but I guess I just cant find the good balance with dps and team support.
Help me have fun with my guardian again

I play both war and guard. War does far more damage, used to do average 24-26k on GS rotation and 28k on rifle rotation, sometimes higher, sometimes lower, but those were are the numbers. I used it for gold farming, outdoors event farming, etc etc. All that stuff got super boring after about 6 months and I stopped playing. farming and farmer builds suck major kitten .
Came back made a guard, what a completely different style of play and fresh change. I finally got my guard geared out fully, full zerk gear with traveller runes, full PVT with melandru and 3 sets of ascended jewelry, PVT, clerics and zerk.
Also got a jugg, 2 ascended staffs (1 zerk 1 PVT), Acended zerk GS and a trident
As far as builds go for upper fractals, I have played all the high dmg cookie cutter crap, as well as 0 0 30 30 10 for a while, both are a bit boring. Currently I kinda go back and forth between 3 different builds.
0 0 30 20 20 for full heals support
30 0 0 10 30 for DPS and mad buffs
and a very weird one of my own creation 10 10 30 10 10 <<< my favorite for tough content.
The reason I like this build is because of its flexibility. It isnt focused on 1 weapon or 1 set of skills. I can switch around some jewelry, 1-2 major traits and utilities and weapons, and go from a mac 10 machine gun to a pretty hefty hitter. It relies on lowering the CDs on your utilities, as well as constantly resetting your F1. I can burn and stack migth almost non stop in many fractals on top of delivering zerk DPS while having decent support and good survivability. There is no reason to sacrifice one for the other.
Some fights I also switch to sword / torch, instead of GS. torch 5 is an excellent source of damage and cleansing at the same time on a low CD, sword 3 does pretty well also. This set lacks utility but provides what it needs to.
My advice to you is ignore all the cookie cutters and full zerk, experiment and find a fun build for yourself.

Lol 24-26k per rotation. Your doing something wrong. HB should be atleast maybe 30k + spin 10k..

And then the obvious for last, Berserker gear (Assassins if you want to be a hipster, I guess).

I never did 0/0/30/30/10 for fotm, just for dungeons like AC etc.. that had lots of conditions, making 1 party member in charge of party cleanse and helpw tih heals but still able to do 4-5k auto attacks we felt was a good idea (My team that runs dungeons), having a small “safety net” so to say, we know we arnt perfect at the game with ever little dodge and block (well not yet).
For fotm, dont really need all that extra condition removal or some extra healing/survival is a member goes down, and so I run 10/30/0/5/25 build.

Why not do maximum damage if you’re good enough to stay alive, i’m glad the tough content doesn’t need healing, I run alot of berserkers in 48 fractals but sometimes I switch in more survivable gear for certain situations.. anyways running full berserker in this games hardest pve content and relying on dodging/positioning/timing is fun and a million times more challenging than I remember in any other mmos pve.

there is different gear for every different class, not just “the dps gear”. sorry but this game isn’t much more challenging at all compared to other MMOs. I understand you want to keep your facerolling but please to over exaggerate.
I’d love to see a “noob” picking up zerk thief or LH ele and pulling it off. I myself die sometimes on my ele, and i’m playing it for quite some time already.

Dude you got it all wrong. In other mmo’s you have to rely on healers to keep you alive, in gw2 it’s all about your skill to dodge, block etc. And the better you are, the less defence you need – therefore, run zerker for maximizing dps.
