So it really would have been sooooo op to extend racial elites another 20-30 seconds tops? (and debatable because some elites are extended only specific durations like renewed focus)

Summon Mistfire..ok i can see that, it’s not available to everyone so extending it further is unfair, but racial elites…really? they are already on some of the longest cooldowns in the entire game…a few extra seconds would break it…really?!? to understand my frustration with this, I finally took into account this trait for other elites besides the usual cookie cutter ones and I discovers a whole variety of builds available to the guardian that weren’t there before and the beautiful part was: they weren’t overpowered because they were based on gimmicky racial elites.

Ever wanted to play an actual condi guard? Norn-guard could potentially do that if this would affect the elites. You could get off enough stacks of bleeding that they could actually be a condi burst, but they would still be on an insanely long cd so no chance of op, and the same applies for most racial elites. The only one that would pose a problem would be the charrzooka except it relies on ammo counts. The duration is moot. Ok so you can tote it between one extra fight and run of duration and/or ammo halfway through? Time to rethink this skill imo. Discuss

it doesn’t have to be the whole 20-30 seconds. Just like renewed focus only getting an extra second tacked on I think it is, they could limit the time racial elites get the benefit. 15 seconds would be plenty enough to get off effective rotations without making it op. Would I like to see a full 30? Of course, but I don’t think it’s balanced. And why on earth are you getting pwned by leopard forms lol. they are good at escaping, that’s about all. Now someone skilled at using raven and dazing you constantly, those I would worry about lol. The other forms are negligible for effects and damage (maybe wolf, but it’s situational)
