Favourite PvP Build?
If i’m running with a pug, i’ll use my meditation 1h build for survivability and damage. If i’m in a tournament, it’s 2h shout support.
Spirit Burn for all out damage.
I just discovered the spirit burn too and actually came to these forums to see if it was viable. The damage is amazing when you pop off the spirit weapon skills.
However my most successful build in Structured PvP is Greatsword with Burning retaliation build.
Under Zeal I grab 1, 7, 12. For the initial Greatsword and burning.
Radiance grab 1 for repeatable retaliation buff.
Virtues grab 2, 4, or 6 then 8, then 11. Im not sure if 8 and 11 conflict with each other. I gotta check that out.
My armor will have Sigils of the Forge on them.
This is a very good anti-melee build. I simply just stand on a point and let the enemy come at me. I ocncentrate on using AE shouts and instant cast skills that give Aegis and small bits of healing. Even if you lose a fight the enemy will be below 25% health and probably with a burning on them.
Any offensive meditation builds:
Go 30 for Monk’s focus, the rest of the points focus on damage. Use knight’s amulet with Divinity runes for a balance of damage and survivability. One of the best builds there is for 1v1.

I would however prefer greatsword over sword/focus now (10/25/30/0/5).
i go similar to the above but with sword/torch
torch is much better than focus imo, the 5 has way to long of a cd
I generally prefer focus since you can prepop Shield of Wrath, teleport into ZD, and it will explode to add even more burst.
try out torch man, i think u’ll like it
it does a ton of dmg with 4 + 5 and synergizes well with the 10 in zeal
when i went focus, i’d get the burst off and then they would heal. then the focus part would be fairly useless for the rest of the fight =P
