Hey fellow Guardias,

I’ve created a DH build with nice offense/defense synergies (the link for the build is just below), the main selling points for anyone whose is deciding if it is worthwhile read this whole post is:

A) High DPS with punishing burning stacks
B) High Healing, Blocks & Tanking potential
C) Mass Condi Clearing

A) The DPS comes from high crit chance on sword/torch, Longbow dmg, marauder stats, traits, high burning intensity from torch 4’s Zealot’s Fire which can be used 2x in a row + utilities like Smite Condition and Test of Faith.
o) a Single Torch 4 Zealots Flame Crits heavy target golem for 1.5k + 1.8k burning dmg and even more on zerk light or medium armour classes

B)
Healing:
Purification Trap = 11.8k healing every 24 second (with handy daze and blindness),
Wings of resolve 3.8K x2 (via renewed focus),
Smite condition 1.9K every 16 sec,
Contemplation of purity every 48 sec,
Leeching Sigil on LB every weapon swap

Blocks – Valor Valorous Defense, Fragments of Faith, Sword 3, Shield of courage x 2 (via renewed focus),
Each block gives u 2 might for 15 seconds, burns the attacking foe for 300 dmg and removes 1 condition with a 1 sec cd via traits
Also blocking causes justice to reach maximum charge

Tanking – comes from healing, blocks & traits + personal fav Hunter’s fortification = take 10% less dmg wen u have 0 conditions and each block removes a condition & renewed focus for 3 sec of invul

C)
Condi cleansing – already spoke about them above, see link and/or wiki for details of how the traits, skills etc work, if your new + torch 5 in a team fight heal clears condi for your team (situation dependent tho)

So that’s a brief run down of the build, its quite fun to use especially those struggling against condi builds.

If these post gets alot of views/replies I’ll probs post a youtube video on how to use this build, when to use what etc.

hey man,

first things first…
i really love it when people try to create new builds instead of sticking to old stuff, so props for that
I will start with the positive things:

- As said i like new stuff and on the first look your build looks quite viable

- the dmg with zealots fire on torch is actually pretty strong ( especially because you can use it 2 times) i think it could be even nearly as strong as LB2.

- I´m a little bit surprised about the burning dmg (pretty high for a non condi based build : 3k(6k) burning from torch 4, 1,8k burning from LB4, and some decent burning from your blocks.

- When it comes to the decision between Heavy Light and Hunters Forification i´m also prefer the second option. ( 1. Because Condi Remove is so important atm and it works so good with all our blocks. 2. There is so much CC in the game anyway. So if you are in a group fight you don´t really need that one extra knockback.)

Negatives (not much to say here):

- In my opinion you given up some potential with ur choice of the rune. You don´t have any source of swiftness(except the passive proc on ur rune) so I don´t see so much sense in using that Rune. If you want you 25% incr. movement speed i would go with RUNE OF THE TRAVELER. Other good options imo are : RUNE OF EXEBURANCE. RUNE OF THE WURM ( i use it alot actually and do pretty good, get some vitality and gain up to 200% ferocity)

- You quite loose some mobility with choosing smite condition over JI ( but you counter that pretty good with the increased movement speed) (still on maps like foefire i would choose JI youn can be so fast on points helping ur allies with that skill and sword2 on that map.
- I know the heal on purifiaction is insane high, but shelter would synergize better with Hunters Forification and Anplified Wrath.

Thats all i have to say i think I´m going to try it out
looks like a hell of fun bursting down enemys with zealots fire

Relevant Post Patch Changes to this build:
Smite Condition: Increased the number of conditions removed from one to two.
Contemplation of Purity: The cooldown of this skill has been reduced from 60 seconds to 40 seconds.
Wings of Resolve: This skill is no longer affected by movement-altering effects, such as cripple and swiftness. It also no longer queues and will activate immediately when possible.
Test of Faith: The initial damage of this skill has been reduced from 66% of the trap’s full damage to 50%, for a damage reduction of 25%. Updated the effects of this trap to cull less frequently.
Piercing Light: The daze duration of this trait has been reduced from 1 second to 0.5 seconds. The daze from this trait is no longer unblockable when used with Test of Faith.
Changed the Sigil of Energy (for PvP only) to grant 5 seconds of vigor on weapon swap (on the same 9-second cooldown) instead of giving 50 endurance.

Basically…->
good): conditions removal is more effective and frequent with this build.
bad): test of faith’s daze is no longer unblockable, can’t dodge str8 away after weapon swap, daze duration and damage output from traps are nerfed

@Inviictuzz – thank you for replying it has made my day haha (I think your english was better than mine)!

Definately feel free to edit, change the traits, runes and skills to suit your playing style, as I think a compatible build is a more useful/successful for individual players.

Now that the patch has increased the condition clearing for smiting condition & Contemplation of purity, the additional 2 extra condi cleanse and 600 burning damage you would get from shelter’s 2 second block does not seem as appealing [also when using a healing skill u smite 2 conditions anyways] – furthermore the heal is 4.5k heal over a 30 sec cd vs 11.8k heal for 24 second (healing is love ^^).

The JI would definately increase the mobility and be handy in team situations/successfully finishing off stomps (but since I pug alot in pvp ~team coordination sometimes….doesnt exist LOL) but would reduce the condi cleansing and healing of this build.

The runes you suggest, increase damage quite a bit (its quite nice actually!!) I choose speed over traveller because it was of more vitality and because free LEL.
