Is it worth it to (WvW) stack vitality to use force of will? Would an increase of 20%-25% in outgoing healing be similar to stacking high healing power? By stacking vitality (like with sentinels) you will have fairly low healing power, like 100-300.

I don’t seem to read much about force of will.

to be noticeable u need to stack both, and guardian sacrifices to much for low achievement (IMO).

1st April joke, when gw2 receives a “balance” update.

Typically getting that much vitality via sentinel’s stats means you’re going to lose out on a lot of healing power, which will essentially worsen the total value of the outgoing healing. Without spending a lot of stats on vitality, you already get 14~% outgoing healing which is already a fair bit, so it’s good on cleric/zealot/apothecary builds.
For the sake of making full use of its vitality scaling, I’d personally only go for it if I were going for a 100% supportive build that uses Magi’s gear or Shaman’s gear.

Not worth it. 1% per 100 vitality and reducing your damage by getting sentinel (and thus lower power) will just make you heal people a bit more while being useless in all other aspects. Guardian self-heals simply aren’t that strong to begin with.

If you want to take that trait, it’s because you want to be really tanky (talking nomads here) and are pinning up or something. In most other cases either Pure of Voice or the Symbol trait is going to provide more group support over some puny heals that blasting a few water fields would outclass anyways.

For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards,
for there you have been and there you will long to return.

I tried something with Shaman’s stats to see what was possible. It looked very interesting actually, but in the build I created the visiting damage was largely wasted. If we had a Vitality, power, healing power array, then that build would be perfect.

You take Force of Will for the 300 vitality bonus. The healing increase is just a small bonus.

This.
Stacking vitality isn’t going to help you much due to healing not scaling well at all with the stat. Your base vitality along with the boost will be more than enough to give your outgoing healing a boost. So it’s better to stack up healing power to make the most of the healing boost (i.e. Clerics).

I use it for the extra healing personally. 14% outgoing healing roughly translates to 280 healing power (going by the values of sigil of life vs benevolence), except outgoing healing is much better than healing power.

Force of Will only costs 1 life and for you to exile another blue card from your hand to cast it.

That being said; it is a bit pricey.
