Q:

Hi guys, im asking for a pretty good Guardian build useful in the HoT map. At the moment im using a pretty old guardian build based on Knight armor and Berserker trinket and weapons. The weapons i use are GS and Staff, mainly to get into PvE events but since HoT has been released, im finding some issue surviving. My utilities are based on Shouts (Save yourselves, Hold the Line, Stand your ground) and as elite Renewed focus. My traits are based on Zeal Virtues and Valor.

Here’s some info:

6x Knight set. (Power + Precision + Toughness)
6x Rune of the Trooper (
Toughness, + Vitality + Removing Condis using Shouts

Trinkets:

2x (Power + Precision + Toughness)
2x (
Power + Precision + Toughness) + 2 Exquisite Ruby Jewels
1x (+ Power + Vitality + Ferocity) + 1 Exquisite Ruby Jewels
1x (+ Power + Toughness + Ferocity)

Weapons:

1x GS (Power + Precision + Ferocity) + (5% DMG + 7% Crit. Dmg 4 Power +4 Power)
1x Staff (
Power + Precision + Ferocity) + (Superior Sigil of Energy + 5% Dmg)

Stats:

2.098 Power
3.110 Armor
14.245 HP
38% Crit. Chance
184% Critical Dmg

Id like use a build more suitable for the map based on Jungle. Any tips?

If you really like Renewed Focus you should try switching Zeal or Valor for Dragonhunter. The new Virtues are very strong! F2 is about 3k~4k heal (without Healing Power) and F3 helps you block a lot of projectiles.
Other than that I’d say, try to have a bit more vitality, personally I like being around 17k HP and I think I have around 2.8k armor (not sure, I’m not close to my computer)
Also, in HoT its sometime almost suicide to stay at melee range. Personally I would switch Staff for Scept/Torch or Longbow.

Edit : Use Focus instead of Torch if you want more survivability.

If I were you I would exchange 2-300 toughness for vitality. 2800 armour is far enough (I run 2550 now) to survive and the +2-3k HP gives you more breathing room.

And the staff is not a good ranged weapon swap it for LB (even if the traits are not unlocked but the first minor). Scepter is also great.
