Gaurdian build help
Viable for what? In case of PvE, it’s about as viable as a 0/0/0/0/0 build.

Viable for what? In case of PvE, it’s viable but not optimal.
Corrected.
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/viable, linked because you and your kindred don’t seem to know the actually definition of viable.
Guess you should have read those definitions, since a 0/0/0/0/0 is also “capable of being […] used” and even “capable of succeeding” in PvE.

I’ve duo’d arah with no traits. It’s viable, but I wouldn’t recommend it. Guess you should check out your link. Viable is a horribly general term to evaluate builds with.

Hmm, guess I need a lesson in reading comprehension. LOL!

I completely agree, effectiveness is a better terminology.
alright would that build be effective for solo pve?
and if not what would the best build or builds be for solo pve?

Solo PVE? No offense to Obal but his guide misses the mark for solo PVE by a long shot, if I’m to assume that the OP isn’t talk about soloing dungeons but doing general open world events and farming when he refers to solo PVE. His guide is about damage, related to teaming in PVE. Damage on solo content is a completely different monster. The things that maximize damage killing trash or bosses/mobs at hundred man events is about stacking damage sources.
We have 4: Direct damage, Spirit Weapons, Burning and symbols. The best solo PVE builds think in terms of how to get the most and fastest application of these effects. Essentially, how often and how much can you burst for? The builds that are typically pushed for in PVE are sustained damage. Here, where things only live long enough to get a handful of hits, that means little.
When I solo PVE, these are some builds I run: GS 20/25/0/20/5 or Mace 25/20/20/0/5 or Hammer 25/25/0/0/20 (if you like a bit more survival). Skills are typically Heal Signet, Power Signet, SW Sword, Purge or SYG (this one depends on the zone I’m in .e.g., SYG against centaurs because of knockback).

Thanks man that’s exactly what I wanted to know I’ll try them out and see how I go.
I am currently mapping, and I run the 20/25/0/0/25 build w/ the Shelter, Purge, Wall of Reflection and Sanctuary.
Weapons I use are GS for general fights, Sword or Scepter + Focus for building stacks, and Staff for Swiftness stacking (stand in the symbol for the duration to get the full effect).
Purge is obvious, WoR just kills so many of the ranged mobs that annoy you in Xv1 fights, and Sanctuary is a nice bounce when just running for a POI or communing. When I run Dungeons, Sanctuary gets switched to SYG or Shield – depending on the fight.
If you’re just doing world events and farming, then your main goals are simply tagging and staying alive. Practically any build will work for that.
