give me your thoughts about this build that i make. thanks for Harbringer love you bro.
The Second one is from hammer.

Way too much Critical Damage for a not so high Critical Chance and low Power, though you do have more than the average I’ve seen in these forums.

You’d deal more damage with less Critical Damage and more Power, so you wouldn’t depend entirely on crits to deal decent damage.

Other than that, Armor’s fine maybe just a little over, and decent Health to survive a burst.

Now with this build, I’ve felt great. I mean 3 players decided to run off in camp which no one saw, I chased em as I was the one who saw them just in time and I’ve chased them down, thanks to slot 9 and 8, and the leap on greatsword. I’ve managed to catch them all as they kept speeding away. Firstly when they faught me, slot 7,8,9 and my abils were good to stop them all along with my elite plant skill. So when I had them 3 nearly dead, they ran off and thats how I caught up and killed em with the slot 8,9 for speed and the teleport. And it felt epic, I killed three on my own, they underestimated me.

So my opinion is that this build is pretty good. Average on the defence and more on the offence!

I prefer the omnomberry when crit chance is at 50%+ for more survival.

You have great numbers in the Attk, Defense, and health. If you can try to increase crit and slowly decrease crit dmg.

How much power should he strive for? I don’t typically see anyone break 3200 power without neglecting other stats. Sure he can get to like 3500 ish power but that’s rolling full zerker + blood lust + Truffle Steak + Sharpening Stones.

Guardians rely on Might to make up for this very reason. If we go too high in power/crit we kill our defense/health. The trick is finding the healthy medium.

I personally wish I could get to 3k Attk, 50% crit, 50%+ crit dmg, 3k armor and a healthy 17-20k health (any icing on the cake with + healing power besides traited would be nice).

I’d like to see your stats. It’s hard to imagine you killed three level 80s (possibly up leveled) by yourself and lived without any traits that healed you (AH or MF).

Xtian, this is about as close as I can get to your stats that you might be shooting for without using ascended gear.

Why do you have your back-piece, accessories, rings, and amulet hidden…? Your stats are amazing, and it would be nice if you gave us the run down on what runes and gems you’re using. Please give back to the community since you benefited from Harbringer’s guide :-)

I’m an experienced fighter ofc, the heal skill reloads always on time when I needed it, at times I often use greatsword heals you trait but mainly I don’t need it, including toughness and vit to help me a bit. So when they for say… got me at half hp, I quickly use the block, save yourselves with all those boons and then quickly heal myself with the skill and while the saves yourselves is on it’s quite a bonus in the fight as it continues. And don’t forget dodging.

Like stated before it has way too much crit damage. Crit chance and crit damage need to be closer together to maximize the use of both numbers. The more you stray from one or the other you are getting diminishing returns on the stat.

Sorry, I’m still not sold. Don’t take it personal. I just can’t see a trait that gives you 25 health (which you don’t show having in your build above, 30 zeal) being that beneficial. SY is great for 10 seconds but that’s all you get. Hard to imagine you killed three by yourself with no sustaining income on health (besides your two dodge rolls that would heal for 329 health unless you have healing power gear) and shelter, a 30 second heal, that heals for less than 5k. You don’t speak of any healing on crit food and your symbols don’t heal which means you have very little return health coming in. Not to call you out, but I just don’t see it possible, regardless of your experience. Guardians can do 1v2v3 with proper set up but you have no steady stream of healing coming in besides your two abilities. Anyways, grats on your kills.

Xtian, I am going to try and work on a build that focuses on power/prece/tough/vit and if I can squeeze anymore crit dmg out after i hit 50% crit, I will post it for you.

i think he meant if you solely focus on either stat. i.e. if you focus purely on crit chance, you’ll hit DR for that stat. likewise for crit dmg. so you’ll be tryign to find a “sweet spot” for crit chance % and crit damage %. easier said than done of course.

It doesn’t work like that, it’s linear combination of crit chance and crit damage. Linear never implies diminishing returns.

Believe me or not :P, I’m mainly stating here is that my build seems pretty alright for wvw and pve, atm I’ve deleted my main, replacing with anew race and same profession with focused vit,tough and trying to make my own good build for that too.

I normaly damage player 3k+ with this build
