I don’t think DpS has any importance over any other utility for professions, but I was seeing so many people asking about it that I decided to come up with this table:
Guardian Weapons Spreadsheet
The timing was calculated by me, so there may be (human) errors.
The “Cast/Channel” column has the cast (duh) and the channel it may be the duration for the skill to go out, while you can’t do anything else or it’ll cancel. Also note, some/most skills with a cast time such as Sword’s Zealot’s Defense may have a cast time, but the skill is already active even with that cast. I’m not sure why, but I put in there anyway. (or it may be lag)
Most chains have a delay on their last hit. This means that if you start a new chain when idle, your first attack will take X times to hit, but if it’s already chaining, it’ll take a bit longer since the last hit is still “active”. I included this in the DpS calculations.
The last column has each weapon’s DpS, separated by Chain DpS, and each skill’s DpS.
When there’s 2 numbers (for skills), it means how much DpS the skills does when you use it, and the second number is how much it’ll add you over a long term (taking into account it’s CD).
You could think of the first number as burst, the second as stable DpS for longer fights (how much it’d add over your regular Chain DpS).
Although it’s not perfect since I haven’t calculated each skill’s delay for the chain to restart for example, but this should give people an idea.
