Guardian GS vs Mez GS ?
Bind it on the one you enjoy the most
I agree with Wildwood. If I had a Twilight coming online I would give it to my Mesmer though simply because I’m enjoying other Guardian weapons right now.
There is a trick for soulbound items. I found that at 80 I had deleted my starter Guardian shoulders. Made a new toon, transmuted the shoulder graphic to a grey shoulder item and it became Account Bound, was able hand it off to my 80 guard w/o a problem. Not sure if this works for Legendary items but it may. If it does you can pop it between the toons for the cost of an Exotic and transmute stone.
Blood~
well i seem to recall some pretty moody mesmer who was angry that he wasted twilight on mesmer for three reasons:
1. animations: you dont swing it. one throw and after that its autoattack
2. enemys can see you leaking in stealth
3. clones do not leak
dps wise? no idea – i agree with wildwood
edit: did you try that lately blood? I think they fixed that end of january.
From a dps standpoint Mesmer all the way. Mesmer has insane burst. From an animation standpoint Guardian.

Just 2 or 3 weeks ago, worked fine. Not sure if it works on anything else but I was able to recover my starter shoulders.
Mesmer ofc just spam spatial surge like a boss while your npcs do all the work for you. Mesmer is a hard class. It’s unbelievable how most players can be so bad even while playing a mesmer.
I gotta say I prefer GS on guard rather than on mesmer for the reasons stated above. Altough if you get regrets you can always transmute it to another character.
Well… it’s cosmetic, soooo… hehe
It’s not really a decision based on which does more damage. Then again if it were, maybe the one that needs a damage boost would be the choice. I have a GS based mesmer and a 2h traited guard, the guard would need it more if it gave better dps.
But for cosmetics…. I’d go with the guard, because every guard has a GS in inventory which gets used often, while a mesmer may respec to something else that a GS may not be ideal for any longer. In other words, mesmer is less flexable than a guard, some builds have no real benefit using a GS, while guard can usually benefit from one with most any build.
