Guild Wars 2

Hello guys, I just downloaded the game, and I read… I read a lot.
1) What are guardian pros and cons? Where do they shine? and when are they underwhelming?

2) So I have found many different builds for pve and pvp, but I dont know which one to focus on to start off my adventure, I know there isn’t really the best one etc, but if you can mention what builds works for you the best in pve AND pvp, with the weapons etc, I would REALLY appreciate it.

3) Unfortunately, I am a very lonely person. Is guardian going to be hard to level up solo ? I would like to be able to level and up and play.

1) Guardians are defensive support. You give your group Stability/Aegis/condition removal I’d say are the 3 big things. If you’re new, you may see there are some group healing things… don’t be fooled, they aren’t powerful enough to depend on and shouldn’t be built around, except perhaps WvW healway build (look it up if that’s the direction you want to go).

2) Look at the Stickies post from Obal for PVE builds. While it has a learning curve and you may die a lot initially, it’s really the way to go, by being so squishy you learn easier where you need to dodge/block/etc. PVP I personally like the Meditation build but I think there’s more opportunity for a variety of builds there. Bunker with shouts is good in PVP as well, but the wonderful thing is there is no gearing in PVP just change things before each match to try new things.

3) 3 points in Radiance as soon as you can is great. Blind spam is wonderful. As far as leveling I actually found my guardian to be much easier than most of the other professions. I have ele, war, thief, mesmer, and guard… my guard is easily my favorite and was from lvl 1 all the way up, always liked the skills it has available.
