Guardian Solo Roaming dps
Since the patch, celestial med guard and condi damage med guard have become a LOT more powerful due to how broken burning is at the moment. If you’re looking for a power-based med guard build, they’re still fairly effective, but we tend to get outclassed by our celestial/condi damage counterparts. Here is the power based med guard roaming build I like to use:
Note: you can change out zeal for radiance like this:
On Zeal vs. Radiance, it really depends on what weapons you prefer using. If you like to run GS & Sw/F, then I recommend radiance for the reduced sword cds.

I wouldn’t bother running any kind of Medi build at the moment, you will die in every 1vX fight unless you’re going against baddies.
Burn build all the way, seriously, it’s THAT broken, there aren’t a lot of counters and it’s super easy to play with great results even 1vX fights if you get your Burn combo right.
You’ll feel bad for running such a cheese build, but just remember that PU mesmers exist and you’ll feel immediately better.

Burn build all the way, seriously, it’s THAT broken
False, we all know burn is a bit too strong atm but with that build you have only 1 damaging condition (don’t tell me about doom/geomancy sigil because i can laugh to death)
there aren’t a lot of counters
D/D cele elementalist (expecially fire one), standard power necromancer, terrormancer, dps medi guardian, PU mesmer and burst mesmer can counter us easily.. burst warrior, trap ranger and many other can do pretty well too.. if you got problem is simply a “L2P issue”.
and it’s super easy to play
it’s easy to play when compared to traditional dps medi guard, but call it super easy it’s too much imo..
with great results even 1vX fights if you get your Burn combo right.
True you can get AWESOME result!! like with other kittenin build of this game…… and the 1vX is a dream, just a dream.. if you fight good player you will NEVER win an 1vX.. again “L2P issue” here.
ps: “Burn combo” lol man it’s more easy to get a bj from Megan Fox than stacking more than 3/4 stack of burn (1200/1500 dmg) on an not sleeping half decent player…
Hey , since this patch i dont find any build for me to roam solo with my guard .. before this patch , i played medi dps guard with gs and sword focus .. but now i think they nerfed the dps so much .. maybe can somebody post your build with weapons and sigil for me ?
My advice? Delete your guard and use that toon spot for a condi mesmer or ele. Guards and Warriors are pretty obsolete except for zergs and I can’t remember the last time I ran into a thief.

You don’t have to go so textbook with a Burn build, it’s that brainless and it’s painfully effective, but still has some ‘planning’ behind it like any other build. If you’re going with JI into a sword #3 having popped VoJ previously for extra burn then instantly pop PF on top of that, then you need to L2P. In that rotation you wasted 1 traited blind, one projectile negator with damage capabilities and the best condition removal/diminisher in the game just to apply 1 condition status that can be cleansed with a trait or a sigil.
Ever heard about condition reapplying and condition covering? You need more condition variety to bait those condi cleanses and let flames reign supreme, we have multiple sources of Burning application, using them wisely is the key.
Is it hard? Hell no, but does it make it a whole a lot of difference? You know the answer.

In this game, if the skill is high, you will lose any 1vX in which “X” is > than 1, no matter which class or build you are running.
Medi is fine for roaming.
