Guardian Staff #4 suggestion
I like this suggestion, the handicap that is standing still while casting it could be compensated with this.
it almost works switching all 4 pulses for blasts instead. But I think you’d have to double the skill CD at least ( to at least 40 seconds ). It would add some interesting versatility.
Fire Field: still 12 stacks of Might ( but the duration is doubled to 20 secs, hence a longer skill CD is necessary )
Light Field: 12 seconds of AoE Retaliation
Lightning Field: 20 seconds of AoE Swiftness
Poison Field: 20 seconds of AoE Weakness
Smoke Field: 12 seconds of Stealth
Ethereal Field: 12 seconds of Chaos Armour
Ice Field: 20 seconds of Frost Aura
Water Field: 5280 AoE health.
The Water Field is the biggest issue – The devs probably wouldn’t go for that much AoE healing from a single skill – even with a big CD.

Hammer #2+Two Handed 20% reduction trait+ Consecrations= Blasting aoe might on a kitten verry low cooldown so i dont see anything wrong with the hammer plus in a more decently balanced build it still does a ton of damage and good for locking down people and mobs.
But yea mace and shield needs some rework. i feel like mace is just nothing but support so is the shield. no offense thats basically why mostly alot of the guardians go scepter/focus or sword/focus i rarely see shield used at all except in fractals.
The problem of the hammer isn’t the #2, but the last hit from from #1 (the symbol) that have 1 1/4 cast time, the #4 that sucks to blow out with a melee weapon and the #5 that root to cast.
The mace and shield is really just for support, a poorly one. The last hit from #1 and the #2 from mace have too much cast time and the #3 should be a blast finisher and you should able to stop the cast to get protection (not only when the when the cast expires).
And the Shield skills are overvalued, it have insane cooldowns. It should have lower CD.
true true i mean where i look at it is we basically are now having casting times of an ele aswell as their cooldowns so yea.. i can see why u meant that some of our skills are on an insanely high cooldown when not traited even when traited its still pretty marginal.
One thing i want anet to do tbh.. since i do solo roam in WvW and aswell play tpvp on the side. for the love of god. BUFF OUR SPIRIT WEAPONS like how long must they continue to be unused and unloved the duration should last untill they are dead period point blank.. Ranger pets. got buffed. Necro Minions got buffed. Guardians summons still suck lasts what 20-30s? on a 60s cooldown and they die in 3 hits ? lmao what is this.
Ive tried a spirit wep build and the builds arnt half bad at all actually some of them are pretty kitten good in a 1v1 fight i highly doubt most ppl will take u out quickly but in all its not effective because the weps will expire prob before they even die. which makes them not even wanted at all on the utility bar personally i wouldnt even call it a utility mine aswell delete it and give us more shouts -_- lol
blast on staff 4 seems nice
