Guild Wars 2

Hello, I have been playing since launch and I have been in two major WvW guilds, one of them is WARD and the other is classified but I am still a member. WARD is a very strong strike-force with coordinated and tactical maneuvers that can take on forces twice our size at times. I play Guardian, Warrior, and Elementalist, but mostly Guardian. My build is classified as well but I am glad to help everyone with play style during WvW.

Feel free to ask any question not pertaining to my build but I will help with your build ideas.

Fights are good, on my warrior

(edit)- normally fights are good when we run together, it is very difficult to do anything in lag and against the entire force on one commander. This problem obviously needs to be fixed, but on nights that there is no lag and more balanced fights I will bump again.

I don’t get it. The first thing I see when I checked the stream is you dead on a warrior. You supposedly hide your build like it’s some kind of great secret. Why is this in the guardian forum again? How exactly are you helping guardians instead of shamelessly bumping your stream?

And not only that, WvW has turned into ZERG wars, so I’m sorry if you don’t see that. That is all I’m saying. Stop downgrading

no body wants to see your bad stream. all you did was zerg people and die.

Look DaGriller. All you need to do is just play a guardian, and don’t suck. Show us something useful. Contribute something good to the guardian forums. Talk about what you did and why. Discuss your build. Actually HELP people.

Otherwise just take your thread to the WvW forums. You’d probably get a better reception.

Your other guild and your build are secret? Are you in the CIA or something to hide such classified information? If so then what is the point of this thread?

Playing a warrior and posting in the Guardian forum that you’re going to be “teaching” us is poor form.

In all honestly, if you didn’t die so much and actually showed us something that we’ve neglected to see in all our 1000 plus hours of playing, it might actually be worth seeing what your epic skills have to show us.

Well he’s playing a guardian right now. Seems a premade 4v4.

Let me just share a few thoughts of mine here. These are thoughts. Do not get offended.

You said in your description you want to teach people about playing style and not build because its uber secret (there is no such thing as secret builds). But fair enough let’s see if this person can teach about playstyle.

So the first thing I see is you are a clicker. You use your mouse to activate your utility skills. At this point I should be turning off the stream. But I don’t want to be judgemental, there seem to be plenty other people who are lefties/used to clicking their skills. But bear in mind I am fairly certain the majority of this forum does not do that, so they have an advantage on you in any fight. (You were hesitating quite a bit during the 4v4 there which meant less dodge/fight whilst you were trying to find the right utility skills, hoping they were off cooldown). A little tip, try and sort that out, I have gone through 3-4 different keyboard setups. All of them were pretty easy to use and get used to. (I am no lefty)

Then I notice there is NO sound. HOW in god’s name can you expect to “teach” anyone anything without sound?! All I’m seeing is a stream where some dudes duel each other. And then the only thing in chat was mentioning the build you were using. Another tip. Use sound! That way you can explain what you are doing and answer any questions without having to stop the gameplay. Really helps keeping viewers.

All in all, give it a little more thought before rolling your product out to the public. Hidden build idea is a great way to interest viewers (keep at least 4-5 builds at the ready so you can keep the interest). But in my eyes this tactic doesn’t work all too well in a “teaching” stream without sound.
