You posted several threads each contain similar builds. Mind if I ask which game mode is this for? PvE? WvW? or PvP?

The math of your passive regen.
+ 88 hp/ – Mango pie
+ 113 hp/s – Virtue of Resolve
+ 45 hp/s – Dolyak Runes
= 246 hp/s total regen

+ 190 hp/s – Regeneration Buff
= 436 hp/s total regen with buff, not 450.

That HP regen is quite nice…
But with your DPS thresh-hold being where it is, you can’t really say you have DPS. You are cutting the bare MINIMUM you should have. Maybe sacrifice the mango pie for truffle steak. You don’t need that regen for anything except zerging in WvWvW.

3727 Armour? O.o
You don’t need that much armour for any part of the game. Not even WvWvW. It is wasted! Because toughness scaling falls off at 1800 toughness which is approximately 3011 Armour. You could put far more into crit chance and power. To bring your DPS up to a better balanced position.

Signet of Mercy?
It is one of guards most useless utilities. And it only gives you an extra 11 hp/s. In my opinion you could fill it with something more useful like maybe Retreat to get away or chase someone down. Even just for the kittenty aegis block is more helpful to you in a fight.

Glacial Heart
No… just no. It is on an internal CD of 30 seconds and only lasts 4.5 seconds all the while only at a 180 range… Plus you have to be using a hammer for its pathetic effect to trigger. You only have 30% crit chance and it has a 50% chance on crit. In closing, you have just under a 1/6 chance for it to happen every 30 seconds and it is tide to one of your slowest weapons. I would like to say you have far better options… but you really don’t. Valor is bad unless you use Meditations.

+5 toughness infusion…
Don’t, ever. Think about it, reaching 3k armour is soooo easy and the benefits from +5 Vitality is much more useful. that is +50 HP per infusion, equaling a total bonus of 300hp which sucks, but is a lot better than toughness. Especially when you already have more than you need.

I hope this feedback helps you with your build.

I agree with most of what Adam said.

- Glacial Heart is a no no. Its seem like a powerful trait, but the internal CD make it useless.
- Decrease your toughness a bit. 3700 is a crazy high amount of armor and even the tankiest player in WvW usually have like 3200.
- You have a serious lack in condi clearing : no Melandru Runes, no Lemongrass, no Purity, no Pure of Voice and no condi removal skill. Take a lot some of those or condition will kick your kitten (especially movement restriction condition).

Almost anything in wvw out side of zergs will be able to do well better than 450 dps even to something with 3700 armor making your regen next to meaningless.

While the trait picks don’t make a whole lot of sense to me, i don’t necessarily think going completely overkill on toughness is a bad thing. People think is scales poorly, but according to some of the math I’ve seen for damage calculations, there doesn’t really look to be diminishing returns on toughness/armor. Granted at higher levels of might vs. toughness the effect is less pronounced, it’s still there. For instance assuming ~3500 might vs ~3700 armor, you’d need a coefficient of around .94 or the attack would do less than base weapon damage for hits. Most skill coefficients are well under the .9 mark, so with some traits built out for cleansing, this could be a pretty tough build to down. On the other hand, with a relatively low crit chance (that also relies on sigil of accuracy), it’s going to be more of an annoyance than a threat in most encounters. I would suggest swapping force of will for pure of voice or empowering might, glacial heart for altruistic healing (if you go for EM) or purity, and signet of mercy for another shout or bane signet. That would help patch up some of the condition vulnerability or give you some extra semi-passive healing and add some extra push to the build. It’s still not going to be burning fights to the ground, but in theory it should be able to act as a sort of area-denial build by just being there.

Edit: I just remember that I didn’t note any flat damage enhancements (ie. 10% vs. targets with conditions, etc), so it is still possible to do more than base weapon damage at a .94 coefficient in the scenario i described. Whoops.
