Guardian's mobility idea

I think anet’s intention on Guardian is to make it easy to get into a battle and hard to run away. Once you’re in, you’re in.

Sure, just give up a nice chunk of your survival for that mobility. Like, you know, warrior.
Just run GS + Sword/Focus in WvW (the only viable roaming build IMO)
Allows two gap closers and really two escapes as well. I don’t run JI but I’m very good at escaping situations <3 pure of voice

if you care for it you can close nearly a 2000 range distance in 2 seconds… add the 1200 range knockdown and the immobilize signets – clipping/targeting range is the limit.
I like how the guardian was designed to not be as mobile in that sense. But for anyone who rolled a Norn Guardian, pick Snow Leopard form for your elite skill when in WvsW. I love it to bits.
I’d be fine with perma-swift from one skill, since even Necros (another no-escape attrition class) have it right now.
It’s a major design flaw that Guards need to slot both SY and Retreat and Boon duration runes, or dedicate a whole weapon swap, just for near-permanent swiftness.

If you count binding blades a closer yeah.. but only two gap openers (best you’re gonna get with a guardian). I guess you could run JI (many people like it) but I’ve had a fantastic time running 3 shouts (SYG, SY, HTL) without any problems closing in on people.
I’ve dragged away DOZENS of mindless zerglings and still survived. It’s awesome
