Ok guys, as the title says… this is about rotation x sigils x traits:

Since i actually started using skill rotations a few weeks ago i’ve realized that i only use sword for like 40~45% of the time (sometimes even less if the group is good enough to burst down bosses), thus, making RHS less desirable… it was basically 5 trait points that i could’ve spent elsewhere… but is it really worth it?
Without RHS i would’ve to use perception instead of bloodlust, and while perception may be amazing for greatsword, it is just a replacement for RHS while auto attacking with sword, meaning i’d have substantially less dps while spamming sword’s #1.

But here’s the tricky part: It is fairly obvious that dropping RHS is a better choice for short fights… but what about medium-to-long ones? Is it really ok for me to drop my dps on sword (again, on 40~45% of said fights) to boost my burst while spinning in any fight that drags for more than a minute?

And yes, i’m aware that almost any boss fight in this game can be done in 15~25 secs aside from fractals, i don’t always have enough people avaiable to do this kind of run.

Stats with banner of discipline, 15 stacks of might and fury, in case someone is curious:

  • 10/25/0/x/x – Ranger runes and Perception sigil – Sword/Focus 3660 damage, Greatsword 3769 damage, both weapons share 96% critical chance and 93% critical damage
  • 10/30/0/x/x – Scholar runes and Bloodlust sigil – Sword/Focus 4075 Damage, 94% critical chance, Greatsword 4184 damage, 79% critical chance, both weapons share 93% critical damage.

TL;DR: Request maths/reasoning on 10/30 + scholar + bloodlust vs. 10/25 + ranger + perception while using the usual s/f + gs skill rotation on fights that lasts more than 60 secs.

And if you somehow missed the bus: This thread is about dungeon-running.
