So, I normally play a lvl 80 conditionmancer. Which with my build never allowed me to get up close and personally with the ally. So I decided to make a guardian, so I could get in on some awesome melee action and really show someone who is boss.

I crafted my guardian to lvl 70 to play out the last 1o levels in dungeons. And ifind myself being downed quick, im sure its the fact I don’t have much experience in using the skills to survive, so I figured with everyone knowledge, they could give me a good setup for survivability, while still putting out a some good DPS. I don’t want to be one of those glass cannons. Feel free to include where I should put my traits as well, and what gear sets I should be speccing. Thanks in advanced for the help!

Go with 30 in valor picking all 3 meditation traits. You can in theory bring all 4 meditations then for constant heal.

for leveling or dps you go

0/15/30/20/5 altruistic healing build. (20 honor for empowering might)
you can go with shouts or meditation, just trait them properly.
make sure always to spam F1 vs trash.

armor: knight
weapons: GS→ berzerker. scepter/focus → knight /cleric.

you will mainly use the greatsword, and scepter/focus where you need range.
every time you crit, you do lots of damage, give might to your party and healing yourself.

for support, there are several build discussed in the forums (the healway guardian etc)
i find this build very sturdy and supportive (though lower DPS than the first, but still can stand by my own)
0/0/20/30/20 when i go for both battle presence and absolute resolution.
armor: soldier from karma, trinkets all cleric.
weapons: staff, mace, shield: cleric.
scepter , focus: berzerker/knight.

staff always on mainhand, while scepter/mace/shield /focus off hand depend on the encounter. the default is scepter/shield as the shield is a group support weapon while focus is personal support weapon.
