Guardian
each of them have a role to play.
but the Hammer is what most consider to be your “best” weapon at max level for PvE, because of it’s amazing auto-attack and Blast Combo.
you should be using Greatsword to level with.

I beg to differ, I find the hammer too slow to be that effective. I use greatsword and mace shield.
There’s no official best weapon, save that which will work the best for you. I have no right to tell you which weapon should that be, though I could suggest some for different purposes.
I don’t even have an exotic greatsword, with so many hours played on my Guardian. Is it great weapon? Yes, but it’s not the “best” for me, as powerful and effective as it is on the hands of many experienced players.

^ Well said. One thing I learned about GW2 so far is to always try and keep a viable weapon of each kind on you. There is usually a situation for each, and eventually you may find that certain ones never get pulled out for use. Then you can start focusing on the ones you feel most comfortable with.
lol half my bag is full of weapons and armour sets for me to swap depending on situation.
This is one aspect I love too. Guardians are so versatile. (don’t even have to retrait)

Off-hand focus. Don’t equip two weapon sets, or a main hand weapon. You don’t need to, the Focus is the best.
